Thanks for the infor Shanti. Maybe GG is coming back, but DR is getting the boot as showrunner? RRK would be a good replacement.

i think we'll have season 8...it's business that basically moves shows' future.CW hasn't a lot of successful shows:VM is gonna close probably,ditto 7th Heaven and OTH an SN results aren't awesome.Although GG has had a drop,it's with Smallville the main serial,and it's performing quite well even against AI.What else could CW try?Lauren had a credit as producer,Matt and Scott's contract for season 8 are ready and the tour info said it's gonna be S8.Even Ausiello said that he has feelings that GG is gonna return coz it's such a loved show!Kirsten didn't say anything new:IMHO it's only a speculation...i find difficult to belive she is aware of DR's life or AB's contract. I hope i can give you some optimism

If the show hasn't been officially renewed, DR may (if Kristin is correct) doing what others involved with the show are doing - trying to shore up something for the future in case it isn't renewed. Just can't see them waiting until May - that makes no sense whatsoever -

I think MA also said if so many people want to see a show return, it most likely will. The CW can't afford to lose almost all of it's lineup at one time. As you said, Sparkling Star, they already have quite a few underperformers and need to keep some of their shows for next year. I'm hoping they do all they can to keep GG as well as Supernatural and Smallville, which are both on a tough night against stiff competition.

To be honest, not a day goes by where I don't hope we get official words to confirm either way. I just want to know already and I'm pretty sure everyone involved with the show feels even more passionately about it. All we can do is wait.. Now.. I hate waiting! Waiting for word on a possible S8 AND waiting for hiatus to be over.

On another note, didn't we use to have titles on this thread?

For me there are more things speaking for an 8th than against it.
The only thing against another season seems to be Alexis and if she says yes or no although I think she already made her decision.

ITA.Alexis is the key for S8.From all sources,everybody wants another season.I hope AB,with her hands on her heart and a good check in her pockets,make us happy and give all JJ our more than deserved middle
