Luke will just be reclaiming what was his to begin with (after some thorough cleansing of course). I just hope they change the bed and the sheets (permanently this time).
But Chris only thinks of himself and thought that Luke didn't matter at first, so it makes sense why it didn't upset him. And that room will need some major cleansing if they keep LL there: new bed, new furniture (since Chris' clothes were in those dressers, etc), maybe they can repaint the whole thing.

Sassy, ranting Luke? For real?

MA has been bugging me a little these days....he certainly seems to have no love left for GG this year. However, anyone is better than Kristen....when we get a Season 8 (crosses fingers) it will be so great to have Kristen proven wrong yet again. She is usually pretty good on the other shows....I don't think she has recovered her sources over that at GG since the Tater Top incident.

Huh? Are you referring to all the times Kristin thought LG was pregnant? She's so dumb.

Do people actually move or throw out beds, etc. when relationships break up and get the person gets involved with someone else? I've never done that - and have never known anyone to do it - it just seems a tad extreme to me - maybe in a fantasy world such as GG that would be preferable, but in real life, who does that? Just curious.

I think we want that, because we feel that Christopher defiled everything.

Unfortunately, Lorelai doesn't feel that way.

Actually I was referring to when Luke and Lorelai won best couple on Kristen Tater Top awards....Kristen sent over the award and Lauren sent it back because it had Luke listed first. So then Kristen wrote a thing in her column about it...and then it seemed Kristen didn't get any scoop on GG anymore.

I know...I spend way too much time on this show.

Nah.. And thats what I thought too. I mean, just because we hate, sorry, some of us hate Christopher then we feel that he has contaminated the place. But.. no in real life all I would expect of Lorelai was to maybe get rid of the sheets like she did after Luke. And I think that unless they are having kids then they wont leave the CS.

I agree, that's to extreme, otherwise some people would have to buy new furniture quite often.

Luke didn't get a new a bed either after he broke up with Rachel or Nicole.
And Lorelai didn't get a new bed after Max and she kept the one she had with Luke when Chris moved in.

So I don't think they will change it now, especially since Luke might not use it for awhile or maybe never again.

But I'm curious if LL get indeed back together if the house Emily wanted to buy them is mentioned again. Or if the CS is the place where Lorelai will stay forever, regardless if she's in a relationship or not.

Well, my sister didn't want to live in her husbands house when they got married because it was where he had lived with his ex-wife. Never mind, this is the same person who got all bent out of shape at the idea that her husbands ex-wife might show up at her mother-in-law's funeral. But I have seen it go both ways.

I can understand the moving bit.. if you've broken up with someone or have gotten with someone whose ex is an enemy of yours. Because the first would want to forget the memories of a bad break up and the former would not want to be haunted by the memories.

Then again, I can also understand not moving and making the house/apartment a home for the new couple. As the saying goes the home is where the heart is, and as long as the couple is in a loving relationship and making the home about them and their lifestyles, I don't think it's aboslultey necessary to move. Unless it becomes a necessity because the family expands or they need to room etc.

Yeah, I'm rambling. I still blame the time thing.

Wasn't that just a rumor that Lauren sent back the award ? I can remember Kirsten being pissed at Lauren and making bad remarks about her on her columns. Calling her Pissy Polly or what was it ?!

He did get a new bed when he got with Lorelai. In wits he all of a sudden had a big bed which he hadn't had when Rachel or Nicole was with him. And Lorelai never slept with max in her bed, the night he stayed over she slept in Rory's room.

I don't think Lorelai should change everything, but I think LL need to make it their room again, and not just have it be the same as it was when Chris was there. Luke shouldn't have to be ok with just going back to his old spot in her home which Chris had been living in for months. So a new mattress or at least a new sheet/comforter set, changing the order of the room up a bit, it would all make a lot of sense to me. I just think it needs to be brought up, I can't imagine that Luke won't having insecurities over this issue. Maybe he won't, though.

That's the point. It's not like Chris and Luke were just two guys she slept with in her house. She was married to Chris, lived there while married to him, but had previously planned on living there while married to Luke. So if LL end up together again in the future, they shouldn't have to be in the exact same room and bed that she was in while married to Chris. JMO, of course.
