Okay, I want real Luke back. He's way weird in this scene with the giggling and laughing and weird jokes.

Cute, but so weird.

Cute, but so weird.

I'm loving all of this Luke out of his normal comfort zone stuff. Giving Zach and Lane high-fives, "Disney World!" etc.

And I love all the Zach/Luke. They're too cute and funny.

Can we please have Lorelai mock Luke for listening to Motown!

Did anyone else think of LL in 4.21 when Howard asked Mia to dance and she said something about how this'll finally show if they're meant to be?

This episode was a bit too "previously on Gilmore Girls" without having any real movement forward. The episode wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar either. The dialogue wasn't the best, and the Mia stuff didn't really change anything anywhere. It was like they just relived what we already saw anyway. The moment Mia/Emily had was nice, but nothing any different then the nice moment they had in S2. And it's not like Lorelai and Emily's relationship really changed that much.

I don't know. Nice, but nothing special. I kind of expected more.

IA. Defiantly expected more. It was just "okay" to me.

The last scene with Emily and Lorelai was so sweet. I love when Lorelai and Emily make progress and understand eachother better.

I really liked the ep. The GG stuff was classic. And I loved seeing Lorelai and Emily thinking about the possibility that Rory might end up working across the country.

It wasn't a highly angsty ep, it was a nice change and break yet again. There was still deep mother/daughter stuff, but it was nice and light, IMO. Even the RL drama wasn't too drama filled. I liked that.

I love "Dad-Mode" Luke.

It kept making me think both ways. Lorelai kept hinting at Rory working nearby (NY, CT, MA, etc), but Emily and Rory kept talking about places far from SH. It almost set up both for me. Rory staying close by for a full season 8, or Rory leaving the area if there's no season 8.

YES!!! Exactly my reaction

I liked the episode a lot. It was cute and I was really moved by the stuff between Lorelai and Emily. That was great, and Mia was perfect!! She was so sweet to Emily, so understanding of how hard it was to see Lorelai and Rory closer to her than to their own mother/grandmother. Just great stuff IMO.

I really felt like they were pushing the "Rory could go work far far away" subject though. If there is an 8th season, I'm already seeing it as being potentially set up to where Rory and Logan break up, Rory gets a job in another part of the country, and that way she's free to do a new thing on her own and set up her new life. That would leave Lorelai at home in Stars Hollow to have her life with Luke and also strengthen her relationship with Emily, if that's even possible. JMO though, I really wish we knew if there is going to be an 8th season!

Dad-mode Luke!! Awww!!

And the much-dreaded haitus begins... any chance MA will have something nice for us tonight? Nah, that's definitely asking too much considering how much he's given us the last two weeks

I totally thought of that as well. I was hoping I wasn't the only one.

I liked this one. I don't really think it moved things forward, though...almost like it was a part 1 of 2. Didn't really feel like a pre-hiatus ep. I wanted an LL scene. I don't care how unlikely it was.

That being said, I did like it. It felt relaxing and comfortable - if that makes sense. I thought the L/R/E stuff was really good and the L/Z stuff was fun. I enjoyed it.

I wonder if no LL might be a big step towards not "rushing" LL getting back together. Obviously there aren't that many episodes left in the season, so there really is no way to NOT rush it, but...having LL have this "break" from each other might be good. I think because we know there is LL in 7.18 I'm a lot less worried.

How many weeks is this hiatus? Because in a few weeks I'm expecting a LL-big-pivotal-moment promo.

Well it was partly Emily who woke Lorelai up to the idea of Yale 'cause she could then live at home. Kinda weird its the other way now.

Oh, hey - no flashbacks.

Wasn't that supposed to be this episode?

It's really amazing how no L/C goes such a long way in my enjoyment of an episode...

I liked that they're not rushing LL, and I loved the single, not worried about men, Lorelai that we saw tonight. But I'm really at the point where I hope things start going in warp speed for LL starting in ep. 18 and continuing in ep. 19 and afterwards. 7.19 is going to have to have more LL than just her going into the diner. Five episodes is not a lot of time at all for them to go at this one scene an episode pace any longer.
