I refuse to think about that again. They finally ended, dopey is out for GOOD and all i want now is to speed things up and LL to get back together!!

I've given up on understanding anything right now. Maybe I just expect that stuff that is shared is done because they honestly believe what they are sharing is true at the time. I believe everything that people post as a spoiler to be a spoiler and if it turns out differently it is because the show/showrunner has decided to change it and not because the person who shared it was lying or exaggerating.

As for L/L.. I don't think we'll have post-road trip L/L scene. I am really not expecting a scene between them tonight so I can only be pleasantly surprised whereas I was expecting one last week and we got one.

I want some good L/E/R scenes and some nice L/E scenes with a good dose of Luke. I'm still hoping that both Luke and Lorelai spend some time thinking and reflecting about their relationship in this ep and this is what will lead them to have the talk in 718.

Is this the ep with the town meeting?? because then maybe we will get a pre-road trip L/L scene at the meeting which will make them both think/reflect about their relationship??

I think this is key.....something has to happen to lead them to "the talk". I guess the million dollar question will be "Is it during this week's episode OR does it happen early in 7.18 OR does it happen off screen"

If ASP were still in charge I know which option I would pick

I guess this won't really "clarify" anything, but I also heard rumors that 7.19 would have LL's first date - which doesn't seem to fit in with Ausiello's 'Lorelai returning to the diner' scenario, but maybe it could. I'd put it in the "possible" column.

My own take, for what it's worth, is that as the finale approaches, unless/until we hear a firm answer about season 8, there are probably alternate scenarios and plans flying around.

It is difficult for those with direct sources to post "possible" spoilers when they get attacked every time they're the slightest bit wrong, or even partly right, or plans change. And that reduces the information, even the clues, available to everyone.

Also - to reply to juststandingstill who asked me directly, no I didn't mean to say LL will have a "first kiss" in 722, I don't know that. What I heard was the same as Ausiello's "not as far as engaged or pregnant", at about the same time.

There have been rumors on and off all year that DSR would drag out the LL reconciliation if there's a season 8, and might or might not speed it up a bit if there isn't. Again, I'd love to hear - second-hand, third-hand, whatever - that he would feel the same need as many fans to at least let them get back to where they already were, which is engaged, and actually take them further because otherwise what's the point - but I've heard nothing to indicate he feels any need to do that, even if it ends this year. Ugh.

The only thing of significance I was able to really track down, from more than one source which seemed important to me for it back then last summer, was C/L would last longer than six episodes and past hiatus.

Yep. Something has to lead them to have the talk and I think they both need to really think about what happened; both in past, present and future.

Hee! Well I think we would chose the same option

Something should be said/shown to make us want to come back after the hiatus... right??

I'm torn between whether I think something will spark their minds first, so they'll talk. Or if they'll really reflect on it all for the first time when they talk, then the thinking is done between ep. 18 and 19. It's got to depend on what type of talk it's going to be, IMO.

yep that's why i think there might be a hospital scene with the two of them. The town meeting is in this episode or the next? Maybe they meet there.

I'm beginning to wonder why anyone around here deserves spoilers anymore anyway. That's just me. I'm maybe just bitter.

Anyway.. yay for Mia tonight. I'm still sad it's not the original Mia. But here's hoping for some great Mia/Emily/Lorelai scenes. Should be very interesting.

Well, I agree Mots. To me its about being grateful, tactful and having manners. And I don't blame people for not sharing anymore!

And Mia could be the one to trigger Lorelai but someone/something needs to trigger Luke. If that is whats going to happen of course.
Doesn't Logan turn up at the wedding too?

Katie, I just feel that we need something to lead up to this talk. Mainly because I think it would be weird for them just to jump into that type of conversation. JMO of course.

Honestly I have heard so many different things now I trust no one on that episode anymore

I think that is one of the main problems with spoilers. You get them and boom a few weeks later the storyline changes or just that scene or whatever and then you stand there

what if we started posting them as 'rumors' instead of spoilers to be taken as absolute truth? The only 'real spoilers' we get these days seem to be tv guide descriptions.

Maybe the rumore thing is a good idea. Even MA has been off with his spoilers this year so nothing is definite anymore.

As for Lorelai sleeping with Chris and hooking up so quickly, remember Lorelai said herself (I think it was to Digger) that her family represses and uses the feelings as a weapon. She represses things too. I think she repressed her feelings for Luke and channeled her longing for a married life with him to Chris. She knew Chris wanted her and she wanted to be wanted. The man she wanted she thought didn't want her. "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with".
