LORELAI, RORY AND EMILY TAKE A ROAD TRIP - Lorelai plans a road trip to North Carolina to attend the wedding of Mia (guest star Kathy Baker), the woman who took in Lorelai and Rory (Alexis Bledel) and served as a surrogate mother/grandmother for many years. Rory has a fight with Logan over his immature reaction to his business disaster, and agrees to go on the trip with Lorelai. Emily invites herself along in an effort to get away from Richard, who is driving her crazy while he recuperates at home. At the wedding, Emily is upset by the close relationship Mia shares with Lorelai and Rory. Lorelai learns that Emily came to see Mia five years earlier to ask for pictures of Lorelai and Rory during the years they were estranged. Logan makes a surprise appearance and asks Rory to forgive him. Meanwhile, Lane and Zach ask Luke to be the godfather to their twins. Finally, Lane goes into labor and Luke helps get everyone to the hospital.

TV Guide: After Rory has a fight with Logan, she decides to go to North Carolina with Lorelai for Mia's wedding, and Emily, who craves a break from needy Richard, decides to drive them so she can go to a nearby spa. Meanwhile, Zack and Lane, who's about to give birth soon, invite Luke to dinner, and Zack begins to lean on Luke for advice on being a father. Mia: Kathy Baker

I'll try and look on the bright side, maybe Lorelai will go to NM with Luke, maybe they'll have a road trip and when S8 starts they'll return to SH ready for their wedding

Please don't let them do a side trip to Las Legas!

Nah, he doesn't even sell the boat. He decides to "make some changes to his life" instead.

What happened to the spoiler that we would get a new look Luke this season, including new plaid? was that a foiler or was that idea drop?

I still would have much preferred Luke with someone even is it was innocent, just to have a jealous Lorelai?

At least it doesn't look like DSR is gonna pull the "Lorelai is ready but Luke is dating someone else" card!

...well not yet, maybe S8!

Am I the only one afraid of the phrase "make some changes in his life." I just hope the change isn't something bad for L&L
