I know it's silly of me to just now think of this, but I was watching the couch scene again and I'm kind of bothered by the idea of "If that's all there was, we could fix it with time". Because it means that right now, she thinks either A) her feelings for Luke will go away eventually or B) if she finds someone she truly loves, her feelings for Luke won't matter. You know?

I love that scene. I love how Lorelai winks and says "found a way around that" when she asks about Rory. And oh, the waltz.
