ETA - to me the whole thing is sounding like last year and the WB screwed that up with Amy and might do it again! and in the process the CW will lose big in the ratings for that spot and lose one of it's best shows.

OK, I thought the implication of what Sassy's source said was that the network was stalling, not LG & AB, and that while the network was trying to wait out LG & AB, they weren't even talking to the others. Did I misinterpret?

The not talking to MC/SP thing is crazy to me. With the way both Rory and Lorelai's SLs are heading, IMO, they'd want to have both guys secure and let them know that if the show comes back that they want them before they start talking to the girls, or at least at the same time that they start talking to the girls. Where would the show go w/o Luke and Logan, honestly? "Tune in every week where the only thing happening is Rory and Lorelai and their cats walking around the gazebo while talking very fast about nothing?"

Hee! But in all seriousness, I don't know that I would continue to watch without Luke. He's my favorite character and without him, I just don't see the show holding my attention.

Didn't SP already sign for an 8th season? I'm pretty sure I remember hearing he was on board fairly early in the season. Has that changed?

But, yeah, I definitely wouldn't watch if SP was gone. Definitely.

IMO the whole point of Mia and the wedding will be to bring forth Lorelai's problems with Luke and Chris, her broke marriage and her love for Luke, I will be shocked if Mia doesn't say something about it.

And maybe the drinking session with Emily next week Lorelai will admit she loves Luke.

Right now we know they love each other, but they don't know it. Luke things he doesn't have a chance with Lorelai since she married Chris and walked out on him. Lorelai still thinks Luke was not honest in TLM when he wanted to marry her.

The two idiots just need to talk and no matter how cheesy I would like something like Friends had with R&R at the beach house where they admitted how they felt and end up back together.

I want a Luke rant! A real old fashioned Luke rant. I know we've got New Luke these days, but a rant would be excellent right about now.

ETA: Aw, LL and the bells. This is heart breaking and hopeful all at once. Meh. I miss these two. I really, really do.
