Just reading about Parker Posey being ASPs new lead. Too bad I find that chick annoying. And also it's pretty obvious that ASP is only capable of writing one type of character. Her description of Parker/Parker's character is almost the description of LG/Lorelai verbatim. She should work on expanding that..

That's not true, she can clearly write almost two different characters, Lorelai, and then Rory (or uh, Lorelai with a higher IQ?)

Thanks Sassy for sharing your conversation with SP. Good for you that you were the highest bidder - helping charity and getting to have lunch with SP is as good as it gets.

While I realize that your views do not represent all fans, they are very similar to mine and I appreciated reading SP's responses to your comments. For me, GG is this little slice of fiction that I have both enjoyed and found frustrating for more than 6 years but for the actors, it is their job and I love how he said that the blue hat would appear again when they give it to him to wear. To me, it's a symbol of the L/L relationship, to him, not so much. I love when worlds collide.

Glad you had fun and also that you took the time to put it all down so that certain fans could enjoy it.

Good thing we know LL do have some upcoming interaction, otherwise that mutal diner wave, after Lorelai's talk with Sookie, where she told her she would have to cut Luke completely out of her life, would have me believing that was her farewell wave to him....

I know we haven't heard about much interaction between L/L, but I really do believe - (it's a gut thing) that we will see them cross paths especially now that Lorelai will likely become more immersed in SH life again - the inevitable connection between the two will probably be highlighted in some ways that further illustrate that these two are meant to be in each other's lives - even if nothing is romantically tinged just yet.

How they wind up talking in 7.18 is anyone's guess but I do think they will have run into one another a number of two times prior to that.

I still have scratching my head that anyone ever thought this was actually an interesting "journey" for Lorelai - still can't figure out exactly what the hell the "journey" was - marrying Chris and realizing it is a mistake? Kind of predictable and absurd this late in the day. Oh well, it is finally over. Good riddence.

I was discussing with a friend last night how Luke and Lorelai come to talk at the end of 7.18. We basically decided that for LL to have any sort of serious conversation, they first have to become comfortable in each others presence again. So I could see some friendly interaction between them in the upcoming episodes. It'll be much easier now that Chris is gone and there are no one else's feelings to consider besides their own. After some brief interaction, Lorelai can invite both Luke and April to the Spring Fling. And once LL start to discuss April at all, it may trigger what caused them to break up leading to them finally being open and honest about it. And once they get that out of the way and apologize accordingly, a huge weight will be lifted from their shoulders that would lead to endless possibilities to where their relationship could go.

So, yeah, in the next few episodes I expect some small, but appropriate and forward moving interaction between LL. Slowly getting them on track to being able to really feel comfortable discussing what needs to be discussed.

Sassy, thanks for sharing your lunch experience with SP with us. If it were me, the report would be very short as I would have sat there in awe and said nothing.

Someone else mentioned those huge hoop earrings...I was rewatching the ep last night and both Lorelai and Sookie were wearing them at the DFI and that was all I noticed in that scene - they were so distracting and odd.

I'm hoping Lane's baby shower somehow gets Luke and Lorelai in the same room. If they are wheeling Lane in her bed to Miss Patty's, Luke has got to notice that. And he is bonding with Zack and going to be asked to be the godfather, so maybe Luke even goes to the shower. Just a thought.

I was thinking that maybe a frantic Lorelai goes to Luke and tells them they need a ramp up the stairs into Miss Patty's. Someone's got to make it, and who better than Luke? At least we know his ramp won't be uneven.
