Yes 100% agree it's not that it happened just that Amy stretched it out over half a season and not half an episode all in the name of drama, and look what the good drama did for the ratings!

Will we see Luke and the diner in the flash backs, maybe Lorelai in the diner? I would die if they have the scene from 10 years ago with the crazy lady going into the diner for the first time, please DSR!

OT - I'm doing the TS and was just wondering, the room C&L go into (thank good it's not room 7) is it Lorelai's office? If it is why now do we have to see it with Chris, at least it was the start of the end

Nope it was Room #4 (there was a #4 on the door).

The continuity on this show went out the window a long time ago. One thing that really peeved me off in 7.14 was the Lorelai wearing her ring, not wearing her ring, wearing her ring again. The editing in those scenes in particular was shocking.

Also.. the programs that she went to check at the printers? weren't she carrying them in the scene where Kirk delivers the flower? It looks like a dog on the front anyway.

ETA: They also have a strong liking for big hoop earrings. Personally I find them distracting.

You’re right, they’re both going to be very unsure of where they stand with each other. I was hoping that an apology might open the flood gates and allow a lot of other emotions to come tumbling out, but I can see them taking very gradual steps and inching toward a reunion too.

It would make sense if Luke still harbored some resentment. especially seeing as all the pain has been for naught. I think if Lorelai had stayed married to Chris, Luke would have been able to fool himself into thinking that the pain was necessary, because it led to her happiness in the end. But she’s not happy, the marriage is kaput and the whole thing was just a heart crushing waste of time. So I can see him getting into a rant about that. I can also see Lorelai still being angry about the April debacle, particularly the fact that he kept the news from her, because she never seemed to process the emotions from that.

But I can also see the writers skipping any anger because they don’t have time for it.

Wow I forgot to check the ring, why would she have it off anyway? I mean they didn't end it till the last scene.

I never liked the big earrings, I like Lorelai (and Lauren) wearing just the stud type.

So how did they stuff up the continuity so bad?

Another really good thing in the ep? Lorelai saying: "When you weren't there.. part of me wasn't even surprised"

Wow. this is the first episode in, well about a year that I have watched 3 times already! And I will watch it again that's for sure. Feels good to find you want to rewatch it though.

Well personally I think the powwow should have some yelling and agression, because of all the hurt they caused each other.
I think for their characters it would be strange if they would only say "I'm so sorry" "Yeah I am sorry too". They fought for 5 seasons with passion whenever they clashed and in that case that never happened. I think they need it to clear the air

I just want a honest talk where they admit their mistakes. They can do that without yelling and they can seal the deal with a kiss afterwards
