So, really cute promo:

It shows Rory and Lorelai in the car. Lorelai says that her and Chris split up. Rory asks her who else knows, and Lorelai says no one. *Beat* They show Babette and Patty in the diner with Kirk behind them. Babette says, "he definitely moved out." She compares CL to farm animals, and says that maybe Lorelai (hen) doesn't belong with Chris, maybe she belongs with an Ostrich or some other animals. Then Patty says "maybe the hen belongs with the rooster, if you know what I mean" and when she says Hen they show a picture of Lorelai fill half the screen, and then a shot of Luke fill the other half.

so we don't get a Chris it's over ? They just sit there like in the promo fading to black ? But it's Lorelai how ends it right ? Or is it rather mutual ?

Act 2

Lorelai is scheduling a booking. Rory calls her on her cell and tells her she needs her to get her into an economics mode. She is dreading going back to the class without her grandfather being there. She’s not really into Economics. Lorelai asks Rory how she is doing. Rory asks her if she’s had any word for dad. Loreali tells her that he just came by the Inn a couple of hours ago and that he needed space. Rory thinks it’s ridiculous. She tells Rory that he said he saw Luke. Rory is angry about her dad’s behaviour. He came and just left. Lorelai tells her not to be made at Christopher. Rory tells her she’s on her side, like it or not. She’s on her side no matter what. Loreali asks her even if I cut all all your hair would you still be in my side.

Rory asks her how she is feeling. Lorelai tells her she feels fine, rare, medium rare. She tells Rory that Christopher avoids conflict when things get complicated. Rory goes into the classroom. TA introduces himself to her. Rory says “Hello Professor”. He tells her he‘s a TA. She’s a bit frazzle. He asks her how Richard is doing. He tells her it’s nice to meet her. Rory is really frazzle.

Christopher is at home watching TV. Lorelai comes home. She says she’s sorry she’s late. She was busy at work. He tells her he programmed the remote for her. She tells him thanks. He asks her if she wants coffee she says no. Christopher tells her he should not have taken off. He mentions the letter again. She tells him she had to write the letter for Luke to help him get custody of April. He tells her about the fight with Luke. She’s surprised to hear about it and why didn’t he tell her about it. Isn't this something you should tell someone. She could have been a litte more sensitive. He tells her he should have given her more time. He should have waited. She was vulnerable he should have waited. He took the opportunity when she had the chance. Christopher thinks she hasn’t gotten over Luke. She says she’s free of Luke (or something like that). He tells her he's been asking her to marry him for 20 years and feels like he's still asking her. She tells him they can work it out. Christopher tells her they can’t work things out. He tells her he’s going back to his mother with Gigi because Gigi has been there all this time. Lorelai asks if they will talk more tomorrow. He says yes and leaves her standing alone by the stairs (as seen in the Global promo).

Act 3

Lorelai at the Inn with Michele. Sookie doesn’t have the final menu yet and isn’t sure when she’ll have it ready. She tells him she’ll see what’s left over. Michel is really upset that Sookie would give him leftovers. He tells Lorelai the funeral is tonight and wants to know why nothing has been done. He loses it with Lorelai. She tells him to back off that she has a few things on her mind to worry about his dog’s funeral. Michel leaves upset

Rory and Paris are looking for a book in the library. Paris shouts at the librarian for improperly shelving the books. Rory runs into the TA at the library. He wants to thank her for giving him a good evaluation. He got a call from Richard. Rory tells him the book he has is a good book. TA says he’s looking forward to reading it. Rory says see too, or you too.

Rory is smiling and blushing. Paris asks her what’s wrong. Why is she all red and blushing. Rory is really flustered. Kirk delivers flowers for Chin Chin and gives Lorelai the bill. The flowers has a blown up picture of Chin Chin in it. Kirk tells her that the blown up picture shows some flaws on Chin Chin’s nose. Kirks wants a tip. Lorelai tells the Inn worker that attendance at the funeral is mandatory to be at the memorial.

Lorelai goes into the kitchen and Sookie shows her all the food she’s prepared for the funeral. She is angry at Michele’s behaviour. Sookie tells Lorelai she’s doing a good thing and that she has a lot on her mind. Lorelai tells Sookie she talked to Christopher and he was really mad. He thinks she doesn’t want to be in the marriage any more. She tells Lo she does. She tells Sookie she wants to find a way to convince Christopher that she wants to be married to him and that the only way she can convince him is to cut Luke completely out of her life. Sookie tells her she moved too quickly. Lorelai tells her she married Christopher because she loves him and he loved her. Luke was kind, loyal and thoughtful and built her an ice rink. He didn’t want to marry her and was uncommunicative. She tried everything to work it out. Of course she still has feeling for him

Sookie asks her if there was no Luke. Lorelai to Sookie: “Yeah”? Sookie to Lorelai: “would it be Christopher and would he be the one?” Loelair acts uncomfortable and can’t answer the question.

I don't really know what to think. Lorelai was totally sure and everything. I think it was pretty much mutual. They were both crying and upset, but they weren't fighting it anymore. I actually think it was a really good way to end CL. I wish I could describe it better, but just know that Lorelai went back home to end it. But I think Chris already knew it was over.
