I'm just curious, why does Lorelai "want to want" Christopher so bad? I don't understand how they can breakup while Lorelai wants to want him and is still saying all this "I chose you. I married YOU!" stuff. CL can talk about the difficulties in thier relationship and all and how it is clear that Lorelai still loves Luke but all this constant denial of how she chose Chris and married Chris and WANTS CHRIS. It's just so.. ugh, frustrating. Yes I should look on the bright side because soon CL will be done and over with but I want Lorelai to be happy with that because she knows she has a better man that she is truely in love with at the other end.

Wow... I think I got a different impression than you, Craig, but I'd have to watch the promo. If Lorelai has a "little half-smile" on her face after being asked about Luke? :hopeful: TS can be deceiving though, I'd have to watch it first.

Craig, I am not worried. Obviously from her converstation with Sookie, we know that Christopher is not the one that Lorelai really wants. If he was then Sookie would not be asking her if Christopher would be the one if there was no Luke.

I think it makes sense that Lorelai is still fighting her feelings if she's still saying to Chris "I chose you.." It was going to take more than just that encounter in the hospital for Lorelai to realize what's wrong in her head. That's why I still there we'll get more interaction with LL after the wave. Then she'll go home, Chris will come home, they'll have their conversation.

Kind of like.. Chris will say I see how you look at him blah blah blah. He'll leave, Lorelai will do her thing, run into Luke, and realize the truth. Chris comes home to talk and they'll come to an understanding etc.

I LOVE Sookie! FINALLY she comes back around as Lorelai's voice of reason... She's been out to lunch way too long!! I'm so glad she talks to Lorelai, I'm so glad she's such a good friend that she asks just the right questions to help Lorelai sort through her thoughts.

Just the fact she has a conversation with Sookie makes me so much less worried about the discussion with Chris afterwards. Obviously whatever they talk about will result in the end of their marriage. I'm thinking that Lorelai saying what she says has alot to do with saying what Chris wants to hear... like in TWIMC. But he is no longer fooled... He sees the way she looks at him (don't we all?!

)... I love it!! I don't think it will be so bad afterall... just keep thinking she's trying to say what Chris wants to hear, partially because she's afraid to be alone again, partially to convince herself. It's what she's been doing all season... don't worry, the nightmare is almost over and pod!Lorelai will (hopefully) be burried forever.

I'm happy again

So, CL must have that first encounter about how she looks at him. (maybe that's when Chris leaves for two days?) Then she must go talk with Sookie. Then a different day, she must wave to Luke, realize that maybe Chris is right, and then end things with him later that day when he returns (the CW promo)?

I hope you're right but it just seems like she is trying too hard and it's Chris who is the one who breaks it off.

Yes, I think he goes home to the CS after the hospital scene. They have a discussion where she tells him that she chose him. He probably doesn’t believe her and leaves for two days.

The scenes when she waves at Luke, plan the funeral with Michele/Sookie and her talk with Sookie in the kitchen are the same day because she’s wearing the same black dress. This all happens on the same day that Christopher returns because she is wearing the same dress when she has the discussion with him on the couch and cries.

I don't know if he leaves for 2 days, IMO it was assumed from the spoiler (which turned out to be false) that he walked at the end of ep 13. IMO he goes for the day, to work or something but no more.

I agree that it looks like they talk at the start of the ep, the go to work, Lorelai has the talk with Sookie, later she walks past the diner. Then she has the talk in the promo and they end it.

It's looking less likely she then goes to the diner but you never know.

It totally seems like there's two days to me. One with the dress with the floral trim and Chris in red. When she seems to want to keep the marriage going. Then the day with the fully black dress when she talks to Sookie, waves to Luke, and then has the talk with Chris on the couch when he's wearing the dress shirt.

I can't wait for this episode.
