I think it's clear that there's nothing major LL in ep. 15 or 16. Even the smallest LL interactions have been included in ep. descriptions (him calling her about April in ep. 8, running into eachother in ep. 10, etc). I have to hope that we can get a small wave or something in ep. 15, though. RRK can't dissapoint. But in ep. 16? I don't think there's much of a chance. The ep's written by the writers of SW,SM and TGS. That knocks out about all hope for anything decent with LL right there. And all that seems left in ep. 17 would be either right before the girls leave, or right after they return, I guess.

2ggObsessed, even though she didn't say "Luke" during the phone call, it was like the big elephant hanging over the scene, it was clear to me that she was thinking that Luke was there. And that knowledge in her mind, that even Luke was there, but Chris isn't is what set her off talk about being his wife.

I feel certain we will be seeing L/L interactions - just a gut thing. We didn't know about the phone call to Luke made to Lorelai about winning his case; we didn't know about the scene where Luke brings the food. We barely have any info about the upcoming episodes - there is a lot to fill in. The interactions may be minor, but I think they will be there. I do think they will have Lorelai on her own for a few episodes - which, really, the girl needs to do. It would be pretty creepy for her to just keep jumping between their beds.

But, they have been introducing their interactions in small steps and I think that will continue - we pretty much know they will reunite, so I think they will be building the path to that reuniting in increments along the next episodes until we finally get something truly L/L centric.

Plus, IMO, the point she wanted to make by mentioning all those ppl was to underline that there are some person that are in her life permanently and that are able to be there for her ALWAYS.
And Chris wasn't among those ppl, which means a lot.

But that’s the point. She couldn’t mention Luke because she knew it would make things worst. She’s not being true to herself and suppressing the real Lorelai. Marriage should be about sharing everything, the good and the bad. She shouldn’t feel the need to hide things from Christopher so that he wouldn’t feel threatened. The fact that she has to do so indicate that there’s something wrong with the marriage and she’s quite aware of it.

When Luke and Lorelai had the fight after he overheard Christopher’s voice message and thought she was still in communication with him, they were able to resolve the issue. After that incident, she started to feel comfortable telling Luke when she had contact with Christopher even though she knew he didn’t like him or might be upset. Though it was after the fact, she even told Luke that she met Christopher at thanksgiving.

We saw Lorelai progressing in her relationship with Luke and being honest with him about Christopher, up until April entered the picture and she did an about turn.

When Lorelai and Christopher first got married, she was open and honest with him in talking about Luke (telling him about going to the hospital and seeing Luke when April was sick). He too appeared to be accepting of the interaction between the two of them. After the incident with Doula, their marriage quickly disintegrated into dishonesty. She started to regress to the same behaviour that got her in trouble in the first place and became a shell of her former self.

I agree with you that her mentioning the other people who were supportive to her showed clearly that Christopher was not one of them. This had to be really devastating and at the same time enlightening to realize that the one she married was not the one she could trust to be always there for her, no matter what. Again, reinforcing her growing awareness of the mistake she made in marrying Christopher.

and good post also yzerluke19 the lack of spoilers for L&L is a worry just 'cause of the crap we went trough for the first half of the season.

I will be disappointed if we don't get even small l/l interaction in the upcoming episodes. I keep hoping that they don't reveal the scenes ( I can still dream right?)

There could be L/L scenes we don't know about. I still dream of her walking into the diner sometime very soon.

Yes, I am sure she was thinking of Luke when she was leaving that message. Luke actually did more for the family that day than all her other friends so it would have been impossible for her to not think of him during that conversation.

Note when she is listing off the names she stands still. As soon as she mentions the last person (Babette), there’s a very brief stutter as she says the word “and” upon which she instantly shifts from foot to the foot. At that point, her thoughts naturally would have focused on Luke but had to remain unspoken. It’s interesting that Rory had Logan, Emily had Richard and at some point during the day Lorelai had Luke. To me that’s very telling. Christopher was never part of the support system. Seeing those three pairings in a time of desperate need was an unmistakable anvil
