I watched IRBIP again last night, and the LL interaction is subtle, but I really could sense a lot going on underneath the casual conversation between them. I think both SP & LG did a very good job. Also, I made my husband come watch the end with me and Luke's look at Chris - so brief - spoke volumes.

Also, Emily's expression watching Chris walk away with "kiddo" (I'm hating that as much as "Looor") and Logan seemed almost contemptuous....like "where the hell have you been?"

gossipcom - I can really see it going either way with the ring. Personally, I would like her to have it off by FND, just because it's done. It's over. Even if she hasn't told Emily yet, there is no use in keeping up the sham if she plans to tell her/them that night. I guess we will see...

A thought just hit me. I was wondering if there was any chance that we would see actual LL interaction (the wave...or more) before C/L's breakup? I know that we know that they love each other, have been there for each other, will always be there for each other, etc., but Lorelai has not been overtly obvious about her love/caring for Luke. In fact, she full-out denied it to Christopher in 7.12 (in an obvious lie...but still). And now they are going to have a "talk about Lorelai's feelings for Luke" in which Lorelai says that there are still feelings (presumably for Luke). Even if they assume that the audience should have seen this coming, I wouldn't put it past them to air an LL scene a few scenes before the breakup to kind of "remind" us of Luke's part in this before the C/L conversation. Just wondering...

Very interesting about the Gilmore Girls "remembering"...! I had a kind of silly spec a while ago that before Lorelai went back into the diner for the first time she was kind of flashback-ing to other times she spent there (since there were so many). I know flashbacks aren't very GG, though. I never thought about the fact that they can probably show the same sense of longing/reminiscing through verbal remembering/conversation.

I know that we don't know exactly what they are remembering (right?) but I don't think it's out of line to assume that Luke/the diner maybe involved at some point.

ETA - Because of my lost post, I lost a lot of time in the redoing process... Basically, Mots - I agree. I really think that "they" would feel the need to remind us about LL before the C/L conversation. I guess we'll see...

Or she could go into the diner and when she's leaving she could throw Luke an FYI of "by the way, you're more than just the guy who poors me coffee. Always have been, always will be." Then we get one of those great reaction shots from SP/Luke. And then he works up the courage to go and see her and ask her on a date or something. Maybe not even a date. A catch up meal. Something simple, but something very LL.

THANK YOU! I have been saying this for sometime (previous posts) and I got a couple of negative responses, but I really think that Logan and Emily have Christopher's number and this boy is TOAST!

Thanks for the new info.

I rewatched the 714 promo...I don't see the ring when Lorelai waves to Luke. It looks like she's wearing the same outfit she has on when she has "the talk" with Chris. Maybe she takes the ring off in the morning, walks around town and then has "the talk" with Chris.

ETA: Capp, I saw a blur on her left hand, but upon closer inspection the blur is another finger and not the ring finger.

I think the ring on/ ring off could only depend on when the actual scene is.

I believe she'll take it off in 7.15

Just changing the subject slightly.

The flashabcks episode, has anybody else had that sinking feeling that this could be the end? we don't know how far back the flashbacks go but it could be a way of wrapping up the past 7 years. looking back at things that have happened and things the Gilore girls have been though, things that have brought them full circle?

Hope it is just me and my horrible cold thats making me feel this way.

I thought the same thing when i heard about the flashbacks. It's a nice way to sum up 7 years. I hope it's not for that. We need a s8!

Flashbacks are also a nice way for Lorelai to remember everything about Luke, how often he was there, what her life was like with him there, etc etc.

I agree - a contemptuous look from Emily to Chris - that's exactly how I interpreted it.

Sadly, you have a point - it might be part of a trip down memory lane to start getting closure. Sadly. I hope it's just a trip remembering Lane as a kid, who's now a mother herself.

I agree it is also a nice way if this is the last season to bring the girls closer together. Hvae them remeber some fights and how fnd started and how they now have them because they want to not out of duty. Might be nice for Emily to remeber all the times Luke was there for Lorelai. F&S Rory's birthdays etc.

On the ring thing, I think like everything else it will just be gone one day no explaination as to when or how it was dealt with

i just wonder, are they going to be flashbacks like a clipshow flashback, or like in DEaR when they were really 'new' clips that just gave us more backstory?
