Thanks for bringing that over, Craig.

Ahh...interesting. Honestly, I didn't even think of that. I think it depends, though. If she planned to tell Emily that evening, perhaps she would try to just hide her hand until she was able to tell her? Or maybe a part of her would be hoping that Emily notices so that she can get it out earlier - anything to just get it over with?

I wouldn't be surprised if she took it off as a statement and then put it back on for FND, and I really want to see Lorelai give the ring back!

It's a plan gold band so that would be easy to replace right, see if one of those gumball machines in the CS kitchen has a ring as a prize!

It's one of those two-edged sword situations - she may not wear it considering she still has to also tell Rory that the marriage is over (I love that she's given that responsibility over Chris) and then Emily and Richard. If she isn't wearing it when going to the FND then Rory could notice that she's not wearing it and then the truth comes out. Or Lorelai tells Rory the marriage is over and then she is questioned as to why she's still wearing the ring.

All we truly know regarding the whole ring/marriage thing is that it takes a drinking session for Lorelai will finally tell Emily.

Morning everyone!

Question about the "ring during the wave to Luke discussion":
She waves with her right hand - aren't the US-People wearing a wedding band on the left hand?! We cant see her left hand while she waves.

In the picture before the wave it seems to me that she has her right hand over her left hand fingers - so it's not easy to tell if there is a wedding band or not!

As because of the friday night dinner - I don't think that (if she had already taken it off) she would wear it just for Emily.

Since Lorelai tells Rory about the break up at the beginning of Ep 15, Rory should already now while attending the FDN or is the FDN supposed to be even before Lorelai tells her daughter at the beginning of 15?!

I was thinking that the ring might be gone just because Lorelai is already planning on telling her parents that the marriage is over so why wear the ring.

I think you'll find they're on the way to FND when she tells her, that's the reason I asked. Lorelai could very well give the ring back to Christopher at the end of 7.14. I don't know. I just think the moment where she takes it off will be a pivotal moment - then again we never saw her taking of Luke's engagement ring or Max's engagement ring, so it could very well be swept under the carpet like everything else

Forgot to say before, thanks lilmelodie for the new thread.

Lorelai tells Rory the marriage is over in the teaser - not sure if Christopher then reiterates it later on though. Also Rory's tied up with Logan's family in that episode. Plus David wasn't listed as being in the episode so if it's done it'd be done off-screen. *shrugs shoulders*.

ah - never thought about that they could be on there way to the FDN at the beginnig because the other spoiler said Lorelai goes to Rorys appartement in Yale -> I just put those two spoilers together - that she goes there to tell Rory about the break up - sorry about that.

Yeah - I would not be surprised if it will be swept under the carpet!!!

Danke Lil.

Oh please, let 7.15 be the first Dopey-free ep.....and take that ugly ring off.....well, I still believe that the marriage is illegal anyway.....

So, flashbacks in 7.17. Thats why Mia "appears"....maybe we see little Rory or Lorelai with some 80s hair.....

Yeah if you watch the show these days they can fit a hell of a lot over the span of a few scenes.

I agree, and look how quick things change, while C&L are on the outs now and there has been a lot leading up to it but would the unspoilt really think it will be over next week?

Look at Lorelai's past.
Max - over in one scene, Lorelai going in to Rory and wanting to RUN!
Chris - the call from Sherri.
Digger - Don't sue my dad!
Luke - was a little longer but for her it was over in Partings and this was the first Luke knew there was a problem.

Now with Chris again it looks like it could be one scene and it's over!

Yeah thats also true!

So about the flashbacks - seems like they will be about Rory being a baby - so they are flashbacks of Lorelai first (because of Lanes babys) an after that could they be common memories of Lorelai and Rory together and thats why Mia appears?

But how could the title be seen in combination with the flashbacks?!
Should there be any combination between them?
