I never bought that I'm just the guy who pours coffee and you should be with someone like Chris. What on earth did she expect him to say after she hurt and humiliated him the day before when she told him she slept with Chris. If anyone was saying they should be with someone like Chris, it was her by her actions.

I liked that Luke, in trying to save face, didn't scream at her or go off on her - he just told her something that would make him feel less hurt by the whole thing while at the same time, kind of let her off the hook a bit for hurting him so badly by sleeping with the deadbeat.

I will never see that scene any other way - because he had just begged her to elope, said his life was nothing without her - he didn't say anything that would have lead her to believe they weren't meant to be until she told him about sleeping with Chris. That was the turning point - as I would expect it to be.

I liked that they didn't have Luke grovel after she told him about Chris - I liked that he silently walked away. I thought that if that happened to me, it is probably what I would do - from the hurt and shock of it.

I think they are referring to the time that Kirk tells Luke that he wants to break up with Lulu.

I want Luke to look Lorelai in the face and tell her he handled the situation with April incorrectly. I am not saying she was right for how she handled things, but I can sympathize with her. I have done stupid things in my life in moments when I am desparate and not thinking clearly. She told him about sleeping with Chris to make him stop trying to patch things up with her. Not because she wanted to hurt him, IMO, but because she is disgusted with her self and she feels she doesn't deserve to have him try to patch things up and be nice to her. Sleeping with Chris was wrong, but pain and resentment can make people do terrible things. She was in despair. I forgive her for what she did.

It was -9 this morning when I came to work. I only live a block from where I work, but I still had on boots, a sweatshirt, a parka, a scarf and gloves. In fact, the only part of my face you could see were my eyes. And I was still freezing by the time I got to work. Wouldn't you know though, Chicago Public Schools were still open. I think the actual temperature would have to be -25 with 3 feet of snow before they would actually cancel.

ski mask? i was thinking about investing in ski goggles to keep the contact lenses from freezing in my eyes.

I think Lorelai needs to be the first to step forward with apologies for everything she did, but I think the first romantic move needs to come from him. Single digit temps? YOU'RE LUCKY! I'm gonna have to walk to work in awhile and its -11 outside not including the wind. To be above zero would be just great.

I love that they tell everyone to stay home unless you absolutely have to go out. They make all these warnings, but then they still have school. How does that make sense?

i've decided its all the same, once you can't feel your body anymore, what another few degrees off? i'm just keeping the countdown until A) the end of winter (stupid groundhog promised it would be soon!) B) i get to move somewhere warmer (6 more months!)

The reasons I think he is going to have to reach out to her romantically all stem back to 7.2 for me. The "you asked me" and "just the guy that pours your coffee" was self defense for him, but for her they confirmed her reasons for walking away. I hope that she is on the front line of repairing their friendship, (Which I think her showing up at the hospital for April did.) but he is going to have to make the first move on the romance front. All just my opinion, of course.

Yowza! Where do you live? I'm here in the frigid northeast....it says it's 15 on my computer.

That's how I feel. Cold is just frickin cold. And when it gets hot, eventually hot is just hot. 100 and 120 are all the same to me, lol.

ITA with you three. I see Lorelai making a move to patch up their friendship because she will know she needs in her life in 7.13, but I just don't see her making a move toward a romantic relationship. Since she thinks Luke only love her in a friend kinda way, I don't see her trying to change that. I mean isn't that what Chris did. He was in love with her so he tried to have a romantic relationship with her when she was clearly not interest in one with him. She gave in and what happen they both got hurt. After seeing that I don't see Lorelai risking to do that to Luke since she think he is not interest in her that way like she was not interested in Chris.
