But I'm liking the Lorelai in Luke's Lap idea, did he ever get that lap dance?
Or to make it all perfect: Lorelai on one shoulder and Rory on the other (hey, it's possible)

And lap dance? Well Chris is out so soon Luke can get one whenever he wants and maybe they can even switch it up a bit... I could tottaly see Luke busting a move

I didn't even see a clock when I watched it, does that make me a bad JJ or CIP?

Yup, it just makes you an awful, awful CIP...

The only thing that the clock makes me think is that maybe both of those scenes when Lorelai sees Luke are actually the same scene. He wouldn't need to stop at the same nurse's station a second time, would he?

Agreed, Sara. I'd just prefer it if she avoided the Luke issue all together. It sounds as though this conversation will be about Luke though (even though I'd like it to be about Christopher's failings as a man and father instead) so I guess she'll make some comment about him at some point. It would make me happy if she avoided the question this time instead of denying that she loves Luke. I'm hoping that Chris will start to whinge and Lorelai will cut him off and say 'This isn't about Luke, this is about you and your inability to put your daughter's needs before your own, asshat'.

Oh oh. I'm a bigger CIP than you Craig? Hmm, this is cause for concern lol.

I thought it was the same scene too, but one scene is off to the left of the nurses station while the other is in front of the entrance (you can see the doors behind Lorelai) which made me think they were separate.

Ah who knows, we'll find out in a couple of days.

I know. When I added the numbers it sounded weird too...it's only a day. Heck, I've been unreachable for that long myself when I was living alone. ..sometimes didn't check my messages for three days or more.

But it's different because Christopher's an adult and as such, he's supposed to act responsible. It's one thing to be unreachable because you have a critical condition of forgetting to recharge your cell phone, though you go about a fairly regular routine every day.

It's another to disappear after an argument with your wife and be unreachable to her, to her daughter (who's YOUR daughter), and to your in-laws who have been kind to you for years. To add to that, NOBODY KNOWS WHERE HE IS. I've done stupid things as a teenager...I've disappeared for hours a few times (going as far as my friend's house) after a fight with the parents. ButI came home after a few hours because it's what you do...you don't go out making your family worry about your safety and whereabouts. And being completely missing for an entire day is incredibly selfish, childish, rebellish behaviour. Not the actions of a normal almost forty-year old.

I'm sure those of us who were 'unavailable' for 24 hours or so to our family, did so at least with our family's knowledge of where we were. You were last doing overtime at work...or you went on vacation for the weekend to Arizona....or you got drunk at a party you went to the night before and slept over there...
Or at least with the knowledge of where you should be:
You go to work from 9-5, you get your nails done at 4:00 pm every Thursday...you planned on meeting your cousin for dinner...etc.

I'm getting a clue that Christopher is completely off the radar. Nobody knows where he is, for 24 hours. If he was supposed to be somewhere, (i.e. work), I bet he didn't show (or the show won't even mention that he works). When he disappears again after the 'commotion' for TWO days (who knows who's taking care of Gigi...), I'm guessing he will, again, be unreachable and off everyone's radar...noone (except maybe Francine, if she's lucky) will know where he is, or what he's doing, or how to reach him.

I wouldn't put too much hope in the clock...maybe they'll use it, but maybe the clock time doesn't matter in the GG world.

About The Clock

I checked the digital video and you really can't tell with any certainty.

It the first scene with the clock, Luke looks like he is checking with someone at the desk - the clock looks to be 10 minutes to 11.

In the second scene (a two-shot) Lorelai on the left and the clock above and to the left of Luke's shoulder - it looks like it could be 11:15.

But, I gotta tell ya, this is really guesswork. Playing tricks with the original digital video doesn't bring it out any better. YMMV.

My poor Bears. They started out so well.
There's still a little hope, but it's slowly dying.

This Superbowl sucks. The game was/is boring. Rex Grossman sucks. The commercials suck. Bad, bad game.

It is. Although, my school is the reigning national champion and that's pretty cool.
