Honestly, as much as I despise Christopher, I have been out of touch for 24 hours before.

OT: I just saw BISS and I loved it. LG was great. I don't get why such bad reviews were given. I thought it was sweet and most certainly a chick flick

Total time Christopher is MIA and unreachable: Approx 24 hours.

Maybe or the next morning Chris rushes over after hearing the message and Lorelai has fallen asleep in Luke's lap

Yes, 24 hours between the fight and when he shows up at the hospital... But remember that he leaves again because he "can't handle it" and *then* he doesn't show up again for at least 2 days (according to the ep 14 description). I say "at least" because it seems that 7.14 starts 2 days later and the description makes it seem like Christopher/Lorelai's talk doesn't happen until the end.

IMO it seems that when Chris shows up at the hospital his stay is very short. Probably too short to know that Richard is definitely okay (unless the "commotion" is because he's okay as was specced). And it's also probably safe to assume that whatever it is that he sees isn't such a big thing that it is "understandable" that he would then have to go and leave for 2 more days. Two more days of not being there for his "wife" and daughter while their father/grandfather is not completely out of the woods...

I don't think he's going to come out of this looking good. But I guess we will see soon enough.

What are the chances of Emily insulting Luke during the Scotch convo with Lorelai? Or will the subject of Luke even come up in the convo?

I think if Luke comes up, it'll be more used to insult Lorelai, like implying that Lorelai's still in love with Luke or something. I hope we get Emily drunk enough so that we can hear her true opinions on Lorelai's love life.

What if the 'commotion' isn't actually what Chris sees there, but maybe a fight that Chris starts up with Lorelai based on what he sees? And that's what he can't take?

Are we sure it’s an L/L scene that Chris can’t handle? That word ‘commotion’ makes it sound like he can’t handle the hustle and bustle of the intensive care ward. Which would be weak in the extreme of course, but hey it’s...Christopher. Weak is his middle name.

It looks like 11:15 when Luke is bringing the food, so maybe Chris is AWOL for a bit longer than 24 hours. Could also be 2:55 though I guess... Okay I’m going to step away from the promo now.

I’m more worried about the L/C conversation in 7.14. Is she going to say 'I’m not in love with him' again (him being Luke)? Or will we be past the denial by then.

I'm not worried. Lorelai admitting that she still loves Luke would just be avoiding the issue anyway. Chris needs to know that Luke isn't the reason that Lorelai wants a divorce.
