Well, you guys have convinced me. I let some arguments on the MT sway me. I feel like I strayed into the dark side, lol.

What I've just realized is that I forgot about the letter, and my reaction while viewing it. I got so choked up as I watched Luke's face, as he realized how much Lorelai loved him, and I realized how much she loved him, and I felt that deep love connection between them. I got so choked up because I hadn't felt that between them on this show for so long.

I think that maybe he brings the food after he returns from Emily's errands. When he first sees Lorelai he doesn't seem to carry anything.

I hate to ask, but could someone post a more detailed summary of the DC? Every time I try to log on to the CW website (because of the Macromedia thing), my entire system shuts down and it throws me off the net. I'm trying not to take it personally.

I saw that and it's great. She's had the coffee, now the food. The only thing left is to get into the actual building.

I was describing the extended promo this morning to a friend who can't watch it at work, and she asked if Lorelai was actually talking to Chris outside the hospital, or if she was leaving him a message. I thought she was leaving a message, but honestly never considered she might be talking to him. What do you think?

I posted this on the MT, if that works for you currienc...

Lorelai, Emily and Rory with the doctor who tells them Richard needs an emergency bypass, and asks if they'd like to see him before he goes in. Then it cuts to Lorelai and Emily in the hospital cafeteria, with Emily rambling about inedible food, and the 2 bantering about cliches etc, then she gets a call from their attorney, and she's being very practical, asking him to fax over copies of Richard's wills (standard and living). Funny bit when she asks if their table is too close to the man with the IV, and shouldn't they have a separate eating area for sick people.... Lorelai's kind of astounded about Emily asking for the will, Emily says she's just being pragmatic, and Lorelai says she's not hungry anymore, and leaves.

Love it. Emily eating Luke's diner food. But, I did think I saw what looks like a briefcase on the counter - his hands on it before he turns to look at Lorelai when she walks up to him.

Katiegg108 - I would really appreciate a transcript if you have the time. I can't access YouTube from work either. (We have very picky anti-virus software here - they actually don't mind if you get on the internet in your spare time - you just can't do much in the way of downloading things - which I understand - unless there's Gilmore news to be had - then I get cranky.)

Is it bothering you because they seemed to have days off on a weekday (since there was court?) Because in service industries (which the inn is) Monday and Tuesday are the slow days and weekends are rarely taken off, so the day off for Lorelai and Sookie is probably early in the week.

Also I was rewatching the episode this morning and in the scene with Rory and Richard he says something to her about having "great heart and great character and that combination will always win the day" (just watched it again) IMHO this is HUGE anvil for Luke in the hospital.

And the way Luke took a heavy breath at the close of the letter

It reminded me of Rory's HS graduation where he was openly crying. hee.

The whole cliche talk was funny... "Mother knows best" "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all" haha

I'm looking forward to this episode so much. It's going to be good, even if CL aren't done yet. I cannot wait to see Luke being his amazing self and helping out when he really shouldn't even want to.

I feel so bad for Lorelai though... I have a feeling this episode is going to rip her apart, and as much as I want her to learn her lesson and get back to her normal self asap, it's heartbreaking seeing her go through all of this. Thankfully, Luke can be her strong shoulder, at least for a second or two. I'm curious to see Emily's initial reaction to Luke's presence, though.

BTW, props to the person who noticed 07-1-9... If true, and I'm certainly not going to get my hopes up, since anything and everything from here on out is pretty much up in the air, and I'm not looking forward to spending yet another haitus speccing and LL's relationship status, I can see it working that way, especially if we get an 8th season. Hopefully, after 7.15 we will see their friendship build up momentum, which I can see being feasibly done over the 4-5 episodes until 7.19. That leaves 3-4 episodes for them to fix things romantically and possibly leave us with a cliffhanger of sorts... and oh what a long summer that will be!!

If we aren't getting the 8th season, that's a whole other issue...
