What can surprise us ? Luke's realization when he hears what Lorelai wrote and on the other hand Chris's realization when he reads the letter.

I think the surprises may be Richard's collapse and possibly that Luke wins his custody case. If so, the yin and yang of this show will continue with it's peculiar blend of happy and sad storylines running parallel to one another.

I would say the surprises are Richard collapsing and Luke winning his case. We've only seen Richard in good health lately. There has been nothing indicate he may be ill and it wasn't shown in the promo. So him collapsing will surprise everyone who isn't spoiled. And all we've heard about the custody case is that Luke pretty much doesn't stand a chance. So that will surprise everyone who isn't spoiled as well. And as for a funny surprise, it'll be that Sookie is pregnant.

I agree, Richard collapsing will be a huge surprise for the unspoiled. The second either Luke getting partial custody or Sookie's pregnancy. I can't wait for the upcoming episodes.

Ha. I don't agree with the regret or "bye bye happiness" part, but I thought the description of Lorelai was funny:

The costudy case, Richard collapsing, Sookie being pregnant, Lorelai having her first cup of Luke's coffee this season - all little surprises.
