I seriously could see that happening. Because especially after the lovely knit-a-thon Christopher took part in - the town LOVES him. Almost as much as Luke loves him. Such a sweet bond ain't it Hard to even joke about that hah.

Man, what a waste this storyline has been when we could have such good stuff happening to L/L and their respective clans.

The only way Partings could have made any sense was if ASP had shown some hesitation with Luke and spoke wistfully of Chris - but for her to try to sell us that this Chris thing was still somehow in the back of Lorelai's mind - that just wasn't presented. She only ended up with the guy because she thought the guy she really loved didn't love her enough - or some stupid nonsense.

Anyway - phew - glad the big stink will finally really be gone.
