Episode 7.12: To Whom It May Concern

GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS — Noticing Sookie’s (Melissa McCarthy) recent odd behavior, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) forces Jackson (Jackson Douglas) to tell her the reason. Luke (Scott Patterson) and Anna (Sherilyn Fenn) attend a hearing to decide their custody battle over April (Vanessa Marano). With help from Paris (Liza Weil), Rory (Alexis Bledel) finally makes amends with Lucy (Krysten Ritter), who tells her that she and Marty (Wayne Wilcox) have broken up. While attending Richard’s (Edward Herrmann) economics class at Yale, Rory witnesses a frightening scene. Finally, Christopher (David Sutcliffe) finds the letter Lorelai wrote for Luke’s character reference and confronts Lorelai about whether he was her second choice. Jamie Babbit directed the episode written by David Babcock

TV Guide: Rory returns to Yale after winter break and leaves Lucy a note apologizing for her deception, while Paris ambushes Rory with her master plan of things they need to accomplish in their last semester. Meanwhile, Luke and Anna appear before a judge in the custody case; Sookie asks Lorelai to babysit so she and Jackson can go skiing, but Sookie's behavior is mysteriously erratic; and Christopher makes a discovery that leaves him shaken. Episode 7.13: I'd Rather Be In Philadelphia

RICHARD IS HOSPITALIZED — In the hospital waiting room, Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) anxiously await word on Richard’s (Edward Herrmann) condition. When Logan (Matt Czuchry) hears what is happening, he borrows a helicopter to be by Rory’s side, but Lorelai is unable to reach Christopher (David Sutcliffe), who is still angry over their fight the night before. Upset by Emily’s attempt to remain calm by dealing with her social calendar, Lorelai is relieved when Luke (Scott Patterson) shows up unannounced and volunteers to run errands for Emily. Christopher finally arrives to be with Lorelai, but the scene at the hospital is more than he can take. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode, written by Rebecca Rand Kirshner

TV Guide:While Lorelai, Rory and Emily wait at the hospital for news of Richard's condition, Logan borrows a helicopter so that he can be there with Rory, and Luke arrives to help out and ends up running errands for Emily. Meanwhile, Lorelai cannot reach Christopher, to whom she hasn't talked since he stormed out of the house.

LORELAI AND CHRISTOPHER CONFRONT THEIR PROBLEMS -- Two days after his by-pass surgery, Richard is on the road to recovery, and Rory returns to Yale, where she finds that Richard's economics class is now being taught by an attractive young professor, Tucker Culbertson, who flusters Rory with his charm. While Lorelai tries to distract herself from the issues in her marriage, she and Sookie focus on planning a funeral for one of Michel's beloved dogs. Finally, Christopher returns ready to talk, and he and Lorelai discuss the main problem that has haunted their marriage – Lorelai's feelings for Luke.

yeah i figured that, I just saw Matt Perry was there, and there's always a chance that LG's there with him these days.

If epi 17 is the last before a long haitus, I'll push the optimism up a notch and say we get an LL kiss or something by the end of it, just to keep us on our toes and have another long, never-ending haitus ahead of us. Just my wishful thinking, though. But wouldn't it be nice?

What happened to the not-normal spring haitus? What was that all about? I remembered somebody mentioned something like that at some point...

Wait, what haitus is coming up now?! Didn't we JUST have the winter haitus. So how does the next one work? And how long? Sorry for all the questions lol.

the next one will be for most of March and April. Ep. 17 will be before the hiatus, ep. 18 will start up the next new batch of eps, unless some scheduling is changed.

LG confirmed on Ellen Degeneres some time last year that they were very close friends. She indicated on the show that she and Courtney Cox (I believe) were trying to find someone for him to date.
