Okay I may be a crazy GG (or LG) fan -- but did anyone else notice that the tone of her voice when she says "I love you, I love you" is exactly the same as when, in the ultimatum, she says "I pick you, I pick you"...referring to the purple wallpaper vs Luke?

She is desperate for this to work, IMO the hospital and her father will hit home to her that family does matter and Chris is just not the one not matter how much she is trying to make it work.

OT: So the 2 year old I nanny saw my Luke shirt and was asking about it. I told her it said Lukes and she asked, "Luke go Mel's house?" Oh don't I wish. lol.

I think all we'll get is Chris will see (what ever he sees) Lorelai and the others will then see Chris, Chris will walk and maybe Lorelai will go after him, fade to black. I doubt we'll have a fight scene, it would be more powerful and "what will happen now" if there is no fight.

Wow, all those I love yous and Lorelai flinging herself at Chris...who is she kidding? Even Chris can see she's lying to helself.

I actually feel a little bad for Chris (don't worry it's a very minuscule amount) I mean, he may have known he was Lorelai's second choice, but I think he was just taking his opportunity at finally having his whole package...the one he's been told to have since he was 16. Sure he should have known that this wouldn't have lasted, but it's not all his fault. Lorelai really shouldn't have agreed to marry someone she didn't love and would never love as much as she did/does Luke. Nothing about this marriage was right and now a lot of people are getting hurt in it's aftermath.

Sure she is to blame as well but he was in a better state - emotionally and he could at least think clearly. Ok that just sounded wrong - Chris and thinking in one sentence just doesn't fit - never mind. He knew in what condition Lorelai was in and still went all out and did everything to get her and now he puts all the blame on her

Maybe he didn't know what second choice meant. Why didn't he borrow Rory dictionary he gave her in season 2

There's two DC's up! Quick recaps:

CL. Chris is putting up the flat screen. They joke about it and Paul Anka. CL get sickeningly cutesy and kissy. Apparently he smells familiar, he's using her hair conditioner she guesses. He asks if she doesn't like to share. She says she's married and Loves to share. She jokes about how his hair is short. She says ILY, kisses him and goes off to babysit. (they're wearing the same outfits as in the promo. Chris comes to his senses awfully quick I guess.

A/L: Anna and Luke outside of the court room, sitting on a bench in the hallway. They're waiting to go in. Anna says that this is pointless, there's no reason to be there. Anna says Luke started this thing by getting a lawyer. Luke says that it's the only way he can see his kid. She says he doesn't have a chance, that he's him, a hermit, lives above a diner, not a picture of "capable father." He says he's been nothing but a good father to April. Anna says that he's not going to get any points for his history with women. Luke says he doesn't know what she's talking about. "Bailed on Lorelai, got divorced in a heartbeat."/"I did not bail on Lorelai"/"You've had no longer term relationships, Luke. Why would a judge trust you to have one with April?" Luke starts to defend himself, but then the lawyers up to them, and say hello to Anna and eachother. The court policeman guy comes out and asks if they're ready, Luke goes in really fast, followed by the other three.

TWO DCs up at CW. One nauseating one with Chris setting up the flatscreen and Lorelai flirty and issuing multiple ILYs, and another with Luke and Anna sitting outside the courtroom waiting to get started. First one is strange because Lorelai is all over Chris, but the second is good. Anna says no judge would trust Luke because he lives above a diner and has bailed on all his relationships including Lorelai.

ETA: Luke looks HOT in his suit.

It is interesting watching GG with my friends who are by far much more casual friends. My one friend just kept talking about how it's so obvious that Lorelai isn't happy. And they were somewhat agreeing with the Luke/father figure thing. I have to way I was a little surprised by that. I didn't think they would go there and I'm not sure what I think about it. I loved the episode though and it is going to stay on my tivo for a very long time.

I haven't managed to watch the whole episode just the l/l scenes.

She is SOOOO in love with Luke. I don't care about those ILY's they use at the promo and DC (haven't watched those yet) her look in the mall scene says it all!!!

My zen is still strong!!!
