Ya know last night I was excited about Ausiello's news, but man... that's a whole lot to accomplish in the next 10 episodes. A divorce, reconciliation, marriage, and kid? Eep. They would have to do some like massive time jump where we wouldn't even see Lorelai's alone time or something.

I'd like the 8th season. And hopefully they can talk AB into doing 1/2 of the episodes.

ETA: And does anyone else feel bad for Gigi? I know she's the annoying kid and all that, but she's been through an awful lot in 6 months. And she seems to be getting attached to Lorelai. She thinks she's funny, she's impressed by her stories etc. And now she's just going to have to move again and have it explained to her why Lorelai and her dad aren't living together anymore? Poor kid. She's only 4. That's a lot for her to go through.

Question is - will Lorelai only be pregnant at the end of season 7 or will the Baby already be born?

Well, with the trial coming up, it can't be long between ep 11 and 12 and we already know ep 13 happens the very next day. So in my calculations this means LC ends already in "January 2007" GG timeline. Planning a wedding doesn't have to take long at all, just look at Liz and TJ and my guess is that when LL get engaged again they don't wanna wait, since they had a whole year of being engaged the year before. And a pregnancy... well... Chris only needed two minutes to make that happen 23 years ago. And it doesn't have to take many weeks between the conception happening and LL finding out, so say if Lorelai gets pregnant sometime in April, they should be able to find out by the season finale.

Yes, I do. This L/C SL has not only wasted precious time, but it's leaving a trail of destruction, and all involved will be hurt, including this child.

But as I allready said, I didn't get the imagination that the whole SL considerd Gigis feelings. First that thing with Sherry and France - then the marriage of LC (well that would be something positive for her) and now the divorce or breakup.

I think that DR gives a damn about the consequences this whole SL has for everyone else except LLC!

And yeah, I agree about Gigi. Poor girl, first her dad was at work all the time and then her mom bailed on her to pursue her career again, then daddy passes her on to nannies while he continues to work, then daddy ships her off to see her mommy who she doesn't know. And then daddy gets married to a woman Gigi loves and then the marriage is no more... Like someone said at another thread, good thing Chris is rich, cause he's gonna need to pay a lot of therapy bills for the poor girl.

Even still in this episode both Rory and Sookie say something about how the letter must be hard to do because of Luke stuff - and both times, Lorelai denies there is any of that involved in her difficulty in writing the letter.

So, since she seems to have never really faced her hurt/anger, etc about the break up - not in a way that seemed to be truly dealing with it - instead zooming into this ridiculous marriage - I'm hoping that Chris really pushes her in the next episode about her feelings in a way that makes her finally really face her feelings, have her say some things that she really needs to say so she can finally get her head out of the sand.

Confrontations like that can finally open a long closed can of worms and I really hope that's the beginning of her true epiphany.

ok, after taking the night to sleep on it all....

a season 8 is just troublesome, and can go bad in so many ways. but who am i kidding? i sat through a season and a half of 'Joey' i'll watch it anyways.

Why is Sookie gonna be so hesistant to tell Lorelai she's pregnant again? I just don't see the problem there, other than the plotline in general. They could of just hid MM a little, no one would have noticed, or cared. And if they do go down the LL-pregnant path, that's a whole lotta crazy pregnant people for one show.

I agree with the feeling bad for Gigi. Poor kid. They made her wait even longer for Santa and she got off a plane from a foreign country with deadbeatMommy to go live in a new house?

Do we have any hope for a 7.14 ep description soon?

ETA: and after rewatching the last 10 minutes.... I could see a Roryless season 8... she's soooo never gonna speak to Lorelai again after breaking up this 'family' they've got going.
