I would definitely watch a S8 with LL+baby. I don't know if they can really pull of a whole season without Rory, though.

I just can't process this. As much as I want an LL baby and everything, how could they possibly get LG to sign w/o AB. I really don't think that they could. They'd have to be talking at least 13 eps for AB to even remotely get me to believe this could be possible. I hate to be a downer and all... why can't AB just cave already. Do it for the LL fans. We want our wedding and our baby! Do it for the RL fans who want their wedding too. Do it for the money. Do it for ASP who wanted an 8th.

i'm less concerned with the actual idea of a season 8 than the idea that DR is saying he's got enough time this season to actually get LL back together, hitched and expecting. Lorelai's alone time is gonna hafta be pretty short or LL are gonna hafta dive back in right into the deep end when it happens for all of that.

I can’t see LG signing up without AB. Plus DR only said he’s considering ending the season that way so I'll try not to get my hopes up.

Ha. Agreed. This whole season is Kerrrazee. L/C elope! Richard sick! Lane twins! L/L married baby! All in the space of a year? Weird. But the L/L married part is a bit of craziness I could live with. If that was what he was aiming for all season I don't see why DR didn't condense the L/C storyline into 5 or 6 eps though.

It makes me wonder if it's a big time skip thing. Between 21 and 22. Jump to the future and what not. I think it's just a desperate attempt by DR to ammend the show, if its the last season. It seems as if it all of a sudden hit him how much damage he has to undo for LL, in the next 12 episodes. Sheesh.

ETA: In what interview did LG say she'd never do the show without AB? Anyone have it on hand?

---I think with the lack of a storyline so far for Rory this season--- it's pretty easy for AB to decline. BUT if she was in half the episodes, or they decided only for a 16 episode order, or something, that could be more workable. I understand 8 seaons would be quite the run, but I think we so deserve it.

...Honestly though, it seems too soon from the marriage with Christopher to be married and having a baby with Luke in the end. I'd rather see that drawn out, the wedding, and all the stupidness, make that Novemeber sweeps, or something, and have Rory back for that. ... It'd be better. Then they can have the "Will Chris be invited" crap which is almost inevitable. But it might be on nice terms. Even if the break isn't mutual, he may move on, get over it,.

I have to see how the rest of S7 goes in order to make up my mind around a S8. And that's only if AB is on board though. And hopefully she has a bit of old Rory in her. But I'm still waiting.

Also, Rosenthal apparently said that he was seriously considering it... not that he was executing it. So it's only a possibility. Something I'm not too sure about since it would seem rushed.

Hey Dopey proved it only take 2 minutes to be expecting and to elope doesn't take much longer LOL

If they can have AB in 13-16 eps then it might work, guess they would use the "off working" line, but it might mean more Emily and Luke scenes which could only be good

Luke and Lorelai being married would be the best episode of Gilmore Girls ever. Seriously. I have been waiting for that more than anything. Having a show without Rory as much wouldn't be the same, but i'd watch it for Luke and Lorelai.

I always thought that when Luke and Lorelai get together again, it'd be it. They'd be very much aware that there was no worrying anymore. No Chris issues anymore, that they'd be it.

See i always pictured the series ending with Rory being a writer or a journalist .. Lorelai is reading something she has written .. and what she has writtern was a story about their lives ...

THe series could even end, sadly, with Lorelai's death ( MANY MANY years into the future) ANd Rory telling her daughter or even grand daughter about Lorelai in a similar way that their cousin talked about Lorelai's grandmother Trix In "the reigning Lorelai"

I would give so much for a time skip in this season that would allow us to have an LL wedding by 7.22. Then I'd be content and could just let go of GG. But I really doubt that'll happen, so I do really want a season 8. It really seems like the CW and the WB want it.

I just can't wrap my mind around this. I need sleep.
