i believe it was, i remember being snowed/iced for hours before attempting to get to my party. i think we were also (mistakenly) getting our hopes up that "The Perfect Dress" as an ep title actually meant good things for LL.

Well Lorelai will be getting her "coffee" from Luke again soon and I bet "coffee" never tasted so good when it's coming from Luke

I want to know the other stuff too, first kiss, date, waking up together but first things first she need back in the diner, I'm hoping for ep 11 at the end of the ep to talk about the letter he asked for. I don't even care if we don't see most of it, as long as we hear "We need to talk" coming from one of them.

Ciaobella Keep sending in the questions and we might get an answer.

Did anyone try sending to the podcast email, it wouldn't let me and sent back a reply about the holidays.

I agree with the want to see LL's friendship get back on track. I think that's what attracted the majority us to them and I also want to see it again. I'd be lying if I said I didn't mind how long it took them to get back together, though. But that's mostly because we are not sure how much time is left. I want to see them regain the friendship, bridge that gap and then make tentative steps towards being together again. I'd really like there to be a sense of "this is it this time" - they both know that this is it for them, so when they decide to go for it again they are both aware of how important it is. But then I also want to actually *see* them together, too. It's so hard to say since so much of it depends on a season 8. I honestly don't think I really know what to want yet (as far as the timeline) until I know how much time is left. Is that crazy?

Once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR! See you in '07!

P.S. - I agree with all - the diner/coffee is a big first step. We NEED that!

GG Maybe it's part of the new Luke, he stands up to Anna and says "I'm with Lorelai again and this time we're staying together so she's coming with me to help 'cause that's what couples do!"

It would be over the top cute if Reflecting Light played again, but they would have to keep it PG

But coffee first and that will bring all the good stuff later, just hope we have enough time.

Same here!! I know we need friendship first, I just have to tell the rational side of my brain this, as the irrational screams 'just make up already'.....i can't wait for the banter to come back across the counter. do we think LL's communication will be slow and unsteady or shoot right to banter. it's hard for me to judge, b/c i think they're always at ease w/ each other, but there's so much raw emotion there that won't be resolved until they have their huge 'discussion' (i can not even imagine the complaints that will be SCREAMED if we don't get LL having it out).

until spoilers come out though, i'll just bask in the thought that LL are on the road to recovery

I loved the diner scenes the first three or four yers, and their friendship - but now? Somehow it would feel false to go back to thta. Much as I miss it, I don't know, it feels like that would be pretending in a way?

I don't think it would be pretending. In a way I think it would be LL trying to feel comfortable enough and trusting eachother enough to actually take that leap again. And LL need to sort things out before they even think about being together. IMO it's a must for them to work things out and forgive and trust again without that resting on them wanting to be together again. And I really think that both Lorelai and Luke would take their just friendship anyday over not being able to talk or not having eachother at all. Plus being friends, best friends, is the most important thing to have in the "one" relationship. So they'll need to have that secured before going back to more.

I bet it'll be slow, unsteady banter. Like what we had in 7.10. That's just the way LL talk, banter-y. They are generally at ease around eachother no matter what, but at the same time, it'll be emotional and uncomfortable, so I'm sure the jokes that she cracks will seem safe, and his patience will seem even shorter than usual... but that'll probably just come with the territory. I bet the interactions in ep. 11-13 will give us a pretty good idea of where LL will start at once CL end and LL start whatever it is, gaining the friendship back, I hope.

I love that. That sums up my feelings about GG right now. We may not know the details, but we know it's coming. And that, my friends, is the perfect New Years gift.

With all that has happened and the "lost" 6 months I tend to agree with caf that things are never gonna be the same as far as diner banter goes, that probably changed the moment they kissed in R&R, but I want something back, It will be awkward and weird for a while but give some time and if they work together on April and stuff it will get better.

Who thinks for a while it could be only Luke who supports Lorelai's divorce 100%, I know Rory will support her mother also but what about Emily, Richard, Sookie how long will they take to get on board?

I'm thinking from 13 Luke might be Lorelai's only support team for a while, maybe he finds out before anyone else?

Well, I'm sure if we get LL in the diner again, it won't all be like, "we need to figure out our communication... NOW!" They'll joke, banter, he'll pour her her coffee, etc. But during those same times, they'll slowly have to start acknowledging what happened. What went wrong. They'll probably open up about April or Chris or eachother. They'll get there eventually. But even if they're not at ease or anything, Lorelai will probably try to lighten the mood with a joke, and then the pained banter would follow. It might not be ideal, but it's something, and II'd take anything.
