Congrats, Prof. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, huh?

If things aren't solved mutually between Lorelai and Christopher, Christopher will then just be an ass through out the divorce. We don't want that. We want quick and easy with as little hassle as possible. If Lorelai has to fight him on things, that's more time wasted and more time where we don't get to see LL together as a couple. If anything, it would be better if it was Christopher who decides to walk away first. I'm not saying that Lorelai can't still have her epiphany, but Christopher could come to her before she has a chance to voice her decision to him. It's not just Lorelai who has to realize that her marriage to Christopher is false, so does Christopher.

He already knows or suspects she is not in it. Even if he comes back at the end of the season and he tries something again it will be like: Go home Chris and count your money.
No one is going to care anymore. Rory maybe cause it's her "dad" but besides that. Let him come back and a see how it's done right

I agree. That is why he keeps making the crinkly face, teary eyed look of man pain. (I watched MF again last night, and he gets glassy eyed when she is all "chill" about hopping right on with the baby making. My eyes almost rolled out of my head.)

Lorelai can still have her realization of what went wrong, this is why I Love the last scene with Emily, it's DSR telling us what's gonna happen.

An I the only one who wants Lorelai to be in court supporting Luke?

Heh. "Look of man pain." I love that scene and your description is genius. That scene is one of my favorite scenes. I thought Christopher was nuts when he said they were on the same page because I wasn't really getting that vibe from Lorelai and then when he was trying to "go for it" I wanted to slap him.

I think everyone makes up their own noises to go with the Circle of Life chants. How can you not have fun when watching "old school" Disney movies? It's amazing what understanding Hamlet can do to your viewing of The Lion King.
