Don't worry. It gets better. Lorelai and Chris aren't going to last. If you can watch the first episodes of the season, it makes a lot more sense. Lorelai is just getting Chris out of her system. 7.13 is DS' last official episode. Supposedly he's going to be in some of the back 9, but we haven't heard anything specific about it yet. Read the first post of this thread. It will tell you everything that we know about the season thus far.

I'm less concerned about what the last nail in LC is than what will actually start LL again cause thats much more fun

, 'cause she's not gonna go running straight into the Luke's arms, there has to be something that actually happens. Like Chris leaves and they start divorce proceedings and then LL meet up at the firelight festival, or she goes back to the diner to woo him back, or he sends flowers or something. I'm excited for whatever its gonna be.

I do wonder how much they're going to destroy Chris. He is after all still Rory's dad. I feel it's going to be more of a sad realization on both their parts (perhaps a bit more clear and charged on Lorelai's side), that this was all a fantasy, and that no, they can't be together as a family unit, as intimate partners, for various reasons.

I really thought he had reached the lowest level ever but this season proves me wrong from episode to episode

Well he will have one smart moment - just a glimpse but it's there- when he finally realizes the farmer's wife is not into the crop the way the farmer is

But you know dopey will be just dopey - that's enough for being send to Fiji

I don't think they'll destroy him that much. I really want this to be a mutual thing and not just one-sided. Otherwise it will never be over.
