Right, i can't believe that they'll sell us the whole CL SL, maybe for a while they could explain that but for the whole season?, no way.

I still can´t believe the whole LC crap....there be better a S8 with lots of LL and NO Dopey......that is the only way DR can make up for this sh$t he´s putting as through right now....

So I'm a little more positive this morning. Maybe it's because my flight hasn't been canceled yet. *prays fervently* I was thinking about the word tweak. When I think of it, I think a minor change. Not something that has a huge effect on the whole sl. But they are just changing a few things. I'm interested to see what those will be. Well, I'm off to get ready for my trip. Here's to hoping our 5th and final try to leave Chicago won't end like the first 4 times. lol.

I agree "tweak" by definition is a small thing, but it could be their spin on it.

The first and the last word on this will be from Lorelai. Chris sees the LL moment but he just deducts Lorelais missing committment and I am sure she can ease him on this. Their marriage is not going to fail because of LL but because of THEM. Lorelai may have that picture of LC married in her head since S1 but that´s not the picture anymore she said yes to in S7. Simply for the reason that people change. Even if LCsay that really nothing has changed between them. To me it seems the more they have to make them say it the more I get the idea that it is not. Like they have to convince themself - at least from Lorelais point of view. I am sure Chris always had this mantra but when ever Lorelai says it - somehow it seems a little bit forced to me. Like when she´s telling Rory in 7.08. The difference between Lorelai and Chris is that Chris really believes that nothing has changed at all - that they are really meant to be. That´s why it´s going to be such hard chrash when Lorelai tells him it´s over. That´s why I am pretty sure Lorelai will be the one ending it.
Richards crisis wil be a good example for it. As stress situations bring up the true character of some one more faster. So I am really curious how the Lorelais ephany in connection with the health crisis play out.

But be sure that Lorelai is the one who ends it this time. She will grow. Not so much because she suddenly sees what a great guy Luke really is - since she knew that all along and since it wasn´t really their problem but since she´ll see that her and Chris are won´t work out in reality. I picture her saying when she breaks up with him: "Being married with you is exactly what I thought it would be. Maybe even better. But since some things between us really haven´t changed I changed. I am not the one anymore who pictured herself having the picture perfect family. I feel that I am not that committed to you like I should and like you deserve it. That´s why we have to end now."

And to the "Tweaking". I know saying this in a spoiler thread may be like water on a hot stone but: Just wait for more info. We don´t have much details so far for the next eps. And until there´s nothing to the contrary just think it´s something positive. Or at least a minor tweak.

MA said that this sl has changed and after that he mentioned the tweaking. I don't find it optimistic. I'm sorry but i can't.

Sorry to ask. But what makes you think that he changed the sl? All I could read was that they made Chris react other than to sulk around. But that´s not changing the sl. Since we are just speccing about the probable sl we could be wrong about it or DR just changed his mind of how he wants to portray certain events. So that change of mind made him adapt (tweak) some scenes. So tweaking doesn´t have to be changing a sl and the outcome of a whole season.

Ausiello first said that "those plans, however, have since changed". Sure changing plans can be something minor or major, in our LL loving favor or not. But he didn't just mention "tweaking", he said "changed".

Since I find it hard to trust TPTB on this show, and since the original spoiler/plan was LL positive (Luke helping the Gilmores while immature Chris is sulking), I now feel this was said to lower expectations of winds blowing in favor of LL in 7.13 and in general. But, that's just me at the moment, and again, I'd love to be proven wrong.

I was referring to the quote that gjoni posted and by mistake i used the word sl instead of plan.

I have a more optimistic spec. What if dopey is sulking about his fight with lorelai and is not in the hospital in the first place. However for whatever reason Luke is there not necessarily helping Emily but supporting the girls. Then dopey decides to show up and witnesses the scene. Too optimistic i know.

I hope DR knows what he is doing because jj's can't take more hits.

I think its about lowering expectations. Most fans probably expect Lorelai to leave Chris BECAUSE OF Luke. As she sees how great Luke is and helps Emily. What a crude contrast to sulking Chris. But its not going to be that black and white. Lorelai will maybe have her ephany about Chris in connection with the health crisis. But that´s not going to be the only reason that leads to their falling apart. So maybe that´s what DR is doing. Lowering expectations: It´s not going to be like now that she´s finally over with Chris let´s move her on with Luke.

The only positive spec I can still muster up this morning is that maybe that they're changing the epiphany around a bit. Ep. 12 and the letter makes so much sense to cause an epiphany, actually thinking about how great Luke is and everything, then Chris getting mad about it, while babysitting davey, when she might see that she wants kids, but she doesn't want them with Chris, etc. It's probably crazy wishful thinking on my part, but maybe they're moving up the epiphany, and causing the hospital thing to be more about Luke/Lorelai than just Chris because she already decided she can't be with Chris...as a way to speed things up, or it'll be more about Chris than Luke so she can just see that it's not Chris because of Chris and not because of Luke[/wishful thinking]

the rest of my specs are sad, pessimistic, evil ones I don't even want to type because they'll make me too mad at DR and co.

Katie, I can't even be positive about that, because to me this whole so called epiphany of Lorelai is ridiculous, too. I don't see what she is or what she's going to learn that's new to her or anyone else on the show, or to us as fans.

I wish I could be less bitter and sarcastic about LL being apart and our chance of ever seeing them in a satisfactory intimate partnership which they belong in.
