She doesn't even want his name because she wouldn't be a Gilmore anymore. That was like a cry for help in my ears. She knows he's changing her and her whole life. She doesn't want that but can't say anything against it otherwise she would lose him. By keeping her name she doesn't give him everything. She still keeps something from herself to herself.

Ugh. I actually felt sick to my stomache...just like April. Except I want to throw up. Hurling is more like it.

So, I guess Lorelai's previous relationship with Luke was pretty much superficial...at least that's the way she's acting. She shows no remorse...no sadness...just, la tee da "I saw Luke, It was fine." Where's the back story? Maybe in David Rosenthal's world, L/L only went on a couple of dates and she wasn't that into it.

I am absolutely sick. I was hoping that this episode would be the bubble burster for her. Guess not.

I just HATE her character now. I feel like I'm watching bizarro Gilmore world. Soon, she'll join the DAR, become Emily's best friend and convert to veganism. Maybe she'll sell her stake in the Inn and be a stay-at-home mom for precious little GiGi.

And then there's Luke...left to be the only one who's grieving in this sad tale.

Even if they reconcile L/L...I get the feeling that DR will give it only some half-hearted attempt...that Luke will only be "Option B" instead of the only option. And that DR will beat this love triangle to death until none of us loyal and true fans will give a flying @$%# about who ends up with who.

God, they should have ended this show last year when ASP ended her contract. I would've been much happier with that than having to suffer through hours of watching a fantastic show become absolute drivel.

As for Rory & Logan...haven't we seen this fight before? I did like Luke's scenes with April though. I actually believed them.

Oh Amy! How we do miss you. The heart of GG died when you left.

You make a good point. I definetly let the bitterness get the best of me...and the sadness (i cried tonight....gosh, this show is making me feel so pathetic)....but, although i don't 100% of the time buy it, when they finally reconcile LL (would they be stupid enough not to?), it'll be clear that LC was wrong and it was rushed...i.e.-her changing her name this time, having the actual wedding this time....as much as I can't stand Lorelai at this time, i try to think from the show's pov and she is living only in denial, she did fall back into Chris and, as much as i hate that they had him say it, Luke told her she "belongs" with Chris

EH. I cried when she invited him in at the end of the date. Don't feel bad.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I think that any breakthroughs I might have are the result of bitterness!

And yes, I agree. I would REALLY like it if when LL finally get married she takes his name without thinking about it (I know some are against this, but I think most would agree that it would nicely contradict this "No way I'm Mrs. Haden" moment) - it'll be obvious. And yeah, I'm constantly trying to work out my feelings on Lorelai right now...haha. Personally, I agree that perhaps she is living in denial. That, or so far removed that she is not thinking at all, empty, isolated, out of reach... Okay, I'll leave it there.

And OUCH about what Luke said, right? That still kills me, although it was many episodes ago now. If they are smart (fingers crossed) they will bring that up again. I would LOVE if Lorelai said that to him, "That's what you wanted, isn't it? I'm *meant* to be with Chris, right?" Nastily, because she knows it's not true. I know that's cruel but I hope that would spark Luke saying that he didn't mean that, he was caught in the moment, ...something! Finally address the damn "i'll go back to being the guy that pours your coffee" issue that pretty much left me bawling.

From what i read the l/l scene was too short and rory said they were meant to be?

I complained about DR's writing in the previous thread but now i'm more convinced that this guy just can't write a good sl.

No new promo, no AA?

I can even see Luke telling her she should keep her name when they marry. Lorelai Gilmore became his best friend. He fell in love with Lorelai Gilmore and he wants to marry Lorelai Gilmore and wants to be Lorelai Gilmore's husband. And she responses with No I want to end my life as a Gilmore and start a new one as a Danes.

Or you know something along those line. Not so cheesy
