The only hope I got out of this episode was the Philadelphia Story (because Dexter built boats!). However, I do think DR's references and classic movies are out of place.

About the movies thing, I think Dave is trying to hard in his references. ASP's were quick and you had to listen very carefully to even catch it, but his, he just kinda draws it out. Like when Lorelai, Chris, and Rory were coming back from Friday Night Dinner-the hairbangers thing. He's trying too hard.

Well I was curious why Luke getting back with Lorelai would cause him to lose the custody battle. What would that have to do with anything? Her divorce has nothing to do with April, Anna, and Luke. And the ending didn't justify the good season/series ending.

Sorry but they don't RENEW them they EXCHANGE them !! In the ep description it says exchange them not renew them. That's why I think it's not legal.

Well since the spolier looks likeit might be a foiler then maybe Luke doesn't loose, Anna doesn't move and things are okay.

As for the L&L scene, way to short and they didn't talk which is not a big shock. But I did get the feeling that they had been in contact and this was not their first meeting in 6 months, if that was not the case then something is wrong. Or maybe it just shows how good a friends they are and even after all that happened they can just pick up like nothing happened.

OT - so any other spoilers/new, I have not got the time to check the MT today.

But I still don´t know how DR will go from ep 7.08 "Oh, I´m so happy with Dopey" to 7.13 "Pi$$ off, I want a divorce". He has to give us something more, esp more LL. I don´t think we´ll get much LL in 7.09, so.....

I watched the episode in the record time of 10 minutes. I was like skip skip skip l/a scene skip skip skip l/a scene, l/l scene, skip skip skip to the end.

I actually liked the l/l scene. It was so cute when lorelai went over there. And the look on her face, i'm sorry but we haven't seen (or at least i haven't) this kind of look when around dopey. And seriously DR, because DS was signed for 13 episodes doesn't mean you have to shove him in our face every two seconds!! Enough already! The CS needs to be burned!!

even better, it says that they plan to do it, or not do it, no where does it say that it actually happens.

But the question is do they do it?

And with the spoiler now in doubt does that mean maybe once again they are not married?

Okay why am I finding it harder with ever episode to like Lorelai anymore. It's like the previous 2 years are nothing to her, I know a lot of what she said this week sounded like she was trying to convince he self but this is wearing thin and I hope we get something better in the next 2 weeks.

I don't know if this means they are legally married or not (C/L) but I do know that in 7.13 there's going to be a change of pattern, right?

It's too anvilicious and too sweet.

Here is Lorelai and Luke, bonding over their concern for their daughters and how they would do anything for them (for FAMILY).

Here is Lorelai, right there by Luke's side (okay, 3 hours after probably b/c the appendectomy already ahppend) when he calls her about April's illness even though they haven't seen eachother in ages and Lorelai practically hates him. When family crisis occurs, your personal feelings and emotions are put on the backburner.

Soon, we will be seeing another family crisis occuring, this time being Lorelai's family. Luke, the FAMILY MAN, will be there helping. Chrasstopher will be letting his personal feelings and moods get in the way of being there for FAMILY. Selfless VS Selfish.

The anvil seems to be that Chris puts his desires and needs above others, most notablly, family members get the short end of the stick. Lorelai, over the course of the show, has been all about HER DAUGHTER AND BEST FRIEND, Rory. She's a family woman and we know that 150% DR managed to maintain this theme in 7.08 because she made Rory's reaction to the news a major significant part of the episode and one which led the A-plot of the episode. It was Lorelai's forefront concern...calling Rory thousands of times, concerned that Rory doesn't know about the marriage, anxious not to change Rory's room without consulting her, reminiscing over how frightened and awful she felt when Rory got food poisoning and her desire to sacrifice herself so Rory didnt' need that IV...and it was that last thing, her conversation with Luke, which led her afterwards to find a solution and go to her roots-and seek Rory since Rory wasn't answering her calls.

Right? Right. The show is still Gilmore Girls and I got that feeling when we had the L/R scene in Logan's apartment a sense of relief that DR may not be diverting from everything that is Gilmore Girls. If L/R remain a forfront relationship on this show, the rest will follow as necessary.

They won't go through with it. Christopher is getting everything he's asking for right now. TVs, changing rooms, yada yada yada. Lorelai will eventually say no. She has to grow her backbone again eventually. And hopefully the LL scene in 7.10 helps her do that.

So Chris is the opposite of Luke in many ways, Luke was mad at first then okay with Chris last season. Chris is okay and I guess in episode 10 gets a little mad.

Sorry but I don't know how to hate more, Chris for his chest beating “Things are gonna change” or Lorelai for the “you’re the only one” attitude she has now and the 2 years with Luke were nothing, I almost prefer it if they had not meet this week. Or Rory for “I’m happy for you” while I was not sure if she meant it.

Why is DSR making me hate these characters?
