I was reading some post on TWoP and along with the ones here alot are still pissed off and not liking much of the SL or those spoilers, where as yesterday the mood here was up beat, so DSR let us down again, will the season get any better?

What I don´t get is, well besides this ridiculous LC SL, didn´t DR say LLs paths will cross and that they will be in each others lives ??? Wow, so much for the LL interaction in 7.08, and besides the stares in 7.09, will there ever be more then 30 secs of LL ????

The worst thing that DR has done, with the exception of Luke, is to make me stop caring. Lorelai seems completely committed to Christopher -- she seems in love and happy, but I don't like her anymore. I still don't buy it, but I have to go with what I'm seeing on scene. I'll never believe it if in 3 or 4 episodes she decides that "Huh, I guess Christopher isn't the one. It's really Luke after all." Whatever, Mrs. Hayden.

The way that Luke just picked up the phone to call Lorelai was weird. Why didn't they show him looking a bit hesitant before dialing, or add a throw-away line like "I"m sorry to bother you and have no right to ask for your help, but... " or something like that.

I loathe Christopher and his "I'm the man around the house attitude." Rory was fine, but I'm back to disliking Logan. He's very disturbing when he gets mad -- very in-your-face.

That's why I think they're not legally married and have to exchange vows in ep10. If they were really married it would happen like that because dopey is dopey he woulnd't give in that fast. The divorce would always be between Luke and Lorelai.

Yeah, I really hate that I'm so upset with Lorelai. They are..well have.. completely ruined her character. Everything is off and even if it's supposed to be, DR isn't explaining things well enough why they are. Lorelai has become a bi-polar mess. One minute completely happy and the next dreading what she's done. Next weeks episode didn't even look entertaining to me. I hope Sookie told Jackson to make Christopher as miserable as possible.

I don´t get it either. Lorelai has been ruined since 6.13 and it´s geting worse from ep to ep. Next week looks stupid too when the Mrs. presents her husband around SH. We´ll prob get only one more "stare" between LL and thats it. I don´t get DR. If nothing changes VERY soon, Lorelai can go to hell IMO and take her stupid husband with her, cause I don´t ****ing care anymore.....

So, I watched the episode. I want my hour back! DR is seriously dumbing down the content, isn't he?

The only hope I got out of this episode was the Philadelphia Story (because Dexter built boats!). However, I do think DR's references and classic movies are out of place.

I watched it to - and I have to say that I find it totally sweet that Luke calls April "Sweetie"!!! *ohhhh*
The whole interaction between them was nice and good acted!

once again, agreeing with everything you just said. i'm trying to convince myself that the only reason Sookie is going along with all of this is because she's afraid of losing her best friend. except... that version of Lorelai is goooone.

the first two or three times was sweet, the last billion was just too OOC.

so i decided to contemplate this 'spoiler' a bit, about the part where Chris decides to drag out the divorce. Wouldn't it be funny if he hires a PI near the end to 'catch' Lorelai and Luke and the PI sees them at the hospital together when Richard is sick, and instead of busting them asks Chris why the hell he wasn't there? ....blame the no coffee yet.

i woke up and then, signing on and seeing the pictures of LL that grace my computer screen was reminded of last night....i feel like its waking up to a bad dream

i keep wondering just how LL will reconcile and how it will be believable....of course i'm angry w/ what they've done to lorelai's character, LLs relationship...but at this point i'm terrified that they'll never truly be able to repair it

i don't get how anyone can watch this season and enjoy it

-not bitter, just sad

That's the thing. She really is all in with Chris. She's committed to the marriage and she's happy. Something's going to have to come along in eps. 10-12 that starts to change that. Chris being more controlling. Her seeing Luke more... the "i just got married" thing wearing off. Something's going to have to happen to make ep. 13 make sense. And imo, it's going to have to be a combo of seeing how great Luke is and feeling things towards him again, and also Chris not being as great as he seems, and him being jealous and her slowly seeing that CL can't work...

Could all that happen from ep. 10-13?

oh, and i have this bad feeling that Jackson's going to end up liking Chris. He won't at first, but then Chris will bring something up that Jackson can relate to and they'll drink and be merry and then Jackson will give a good word for Chris with the town and all the JJs will cry... again...

Yep. And this is why I will be surprised if they are completely done in 13. What is that? 4 episodes? For some reason, I could have seen it, if she had been more doubtful that this was the right choice. She isn't. Right now, I feel like her name should be Ping Pong Haden, not Lorelai Gilmore.

If Season 7 is the last of the series, and Luke is deciding whether to move to NM to be near April, I hope Lorelai decides to go with him. She could sell her share of the DFI to Michel, and Luke could sell out to Kirk (he did run his own makeshift diner...) and L&L could open their own place, maybe a B&B, in New Mexico.

Strange to think of them leaving the Hollow, but who cares if the series is over?

If there's a season 8, then the quandry over whether to move could spill over into that.

One part I did like last night.. April yelling at Luke like a regular teen would do. I felt bad for Luke. He never got a chance to work up to that stage. Poor guy started out with a know it all teen, lol. What a way to jump into parenthood!
