Honestly I think they do that on purpose. Amy was so against all those lovey-doevey, cute-sy stuff between Luke and Lorelai and I think DR wants to show us how bad it can turn out if you give the audience what they want and what better couple to do so as LC

That episode was one big parody and I really start to think it's on purpose. 100 ways how NOT to show a relationship on TV

I mean there are even some BBs out there who say boy was that soapy even worse than a soap. They want to us to get annoyed by them so that we will finally ALL cheer at the end when it's over

Well I don't want Chris hurt... well not shot, this is not DH.

What I don't get with FT is,

First - Chris books into a hotel with out 24/7 room service or a minibar and forgets he's loaded, is he an idiot or cheapskate?

Second - they wake up at 4 am and do all that stuff and still get to the restaurant at 5 am, was this an error by DSR or deliberate? Why not say they wake at 1 am and had 6 hours sleep?

Last - in the whole of Paris there is not one place open at 4 am serving food, anyone been to Paris, is this true?

ETA - Cappuccino yeap the 2 minute man strikes again, maybe he had a 2nd 2 minutes in the shower LOL no wonder Lorelai had that look on her face at the end.

Honestly I don't think it was a mistake. They showed it that way for a reason. Everyone is like - boy get it over with and when it finally happens

Party time

Not only for us JJ but for everybody else. After stuff like that everybody will say: Man was that a good time when LL were together. Lorelai was normal and grounded. Didn't babble all that bs. Strangely she made even sense but now? Luke was better suited for her than that 16-year-old. They want to turn all into JJs. The hardcore Luke haters won't change their mind but I bet a lot of viewers start thinking about: I want Luke back at her side.

Never been to Paris but I live in a bigger city in Germany and you can at least find a McDonalds at 4am that's open. If you're downtown the main train station isn't far there is always something open there where you can find food. If not just ask a cab driver he will take you somewhere - they know stuff like that. And when you're in an area with a lot of bars there are small chip shops around.

Well the 1 hour time frame is a nice touch then DSR

Well Lorelai was going on and on about a cheeseburger so why not McDonalds, unless there is a local law about it?

BTW who has a cheeseburger anymore, her in Australia a cheeseburger is just that a bun, meat patty and piece of cheese, it's gone in like 2 bites and we all know how Lorelai eats. Chris could spring for a Big Mc! At least Luke made the a santaburger.

Yeah she begged for a cheeseburger like three times

Well we know whose cheeseburger can satisfy her the best and I'm talking about the food here

I mean who does NOT associate a cheeseburger with Luke. It was the first time since she is together with dopey that she wanted something Luke related or I just didn't pay enough attention during the other episodes

She babbled about coffee olé but she so far she never craved a coffee or a cheeseburger. What comes next week chili fries and oh boy what if they're even curly fries

Our Lorelai is coming back - I tell ya

LORELAI: Well, well, what do you know? Fermé. Listen, Honey, if they weren't open at 11:00, I don't think they're gonna be open at 5 in the morning.

This sentence from Lorelai is strange - as if they woke up at 11 PM (not 4 AM) and checked to see if they could still have their reservation. Why else mention 11? It doesn't look like there's a sign of the restaurant's working hours, only the "Fermé" sign.

And standing in front of the restaurant looking in, how could she not notice the lit candles and five live, fully awake waiters standing in a row opposite the front door?
