I think chris was designed to be hated...the more i think about it the more it makes sense. They also chose ds for a reason. he's charming and handsome. He's the kind of guy you wanna forgive. He is also pretty selfish deep-down with a desire to be the good guy. He's the kind of character that we love to hate cause there will always be people somewhere rooting for the Cad...the Rogue. And to put it bluntly thats how chris has been written. He hasn't been written as the traditional hero...who will win the girl in the end (thats our luke) but the misguided rogue who is charming and a girl can fall for him but eventually they realize this guy is not changeable...he will always be the same...

i hope this ramble makes sense.

I wonder if Lorelai is going to realize she's been rejecting the town and hiding out. I really wonder how the town will react to seeing Lorelai at the knit-a-thon. I mean we know that Christopher screws things up for the town, but will the town associate that with Lorelai now that she is married to Christopher? Will their view or has their view of Lorelai changed already? I'm very curious. And I'm still hoping we get a good and honest reaction from Sookie about the wedding. She's been on the fans side since this thing started. I hope it stays that way.

i think the town will feels almost exactly like we (the audience) feels. why the heck did she go and marry chris when its obvious to everyone that she's in love with luke. you don't just break-up with someone that you've been committed to for over a year and turn around and marry someone, you haven't had time to heal properly from the relationship you just got out of therefore, you wouldn't be able to put yourself all together (emotionally) in a new marriage.

i'll be interested also in seeing how Sookie handles this one.

I think that the town is probably going to be a little tentative with Lorelai and Christopher as a couple but trying to be nice to not make Christopher feel bad, but I could see them going either way if they were interacting with just Lorelai. They all know her pretty well and I think that they will be kind of in shock and not sure how to act. And yeah, I hope Sookie does continue to speak her mind on this. I think that Lorelai needs someone to be the voice of reason in her life. The person who kind of pulls her back down to earth. It's interesting because I always considered Luke to be that person for her, but sadly Lorelai wasn't that person for Luke. I think that is an important part of a relationship, being able to help them balance out everything. I think that is the problem with Lorelai and Christopher. I had a friend liken himelf to a kite that's way up high in the clouds, but his fiance was much more grounded and was able to pull that string and pull him down when he needed it and sometimes he had to do that for her. I think that Lorelai and Christopher are both kites and nobody is holding the string and the wind is dying down.

I agree and Lorelai way of dealing was to completely cut off her old life with Luke. She doesn’t see or talk to him for 6 months. Now while that might be normal in the real world, this is not the real world but as Rory said this week a very small town.

She just wanted to be happy and for it not to end, next week she gets back to reality. And over the next 30 week Chris slowly loses it and IMO the final scene will be the fight in ep 10.

WORD on your entire post! The reason I put this part in bold is because, it's a great analogy, and also, not only is Chris like a kite that's way up high in the clouds, but CHRIS's mind is up high in the clouds too.

He's so incredibly idealistic and pretty much pursuing his own fantasy, without the sense to know that he has to think things through realistically. It's because his head is up in the clouds, that they got married so soon. He's on such a really big high because of the relationship that he keeps moving ahead quickly without stopping and looking at REAL LIFE. Life isn't a fantasy.

Sadly, Lorelai is/was swept into this fantasy with him.

I am hoping that there is no snow until L/L are almost back together .. some freakish spring storm .. Luke comes over and tells her it is a sign

I must be slow ('cause I didn't pay attention the first time I watched it) but they have sex, look for food and 2 showers in a 1 hour time frame, the 2 minute man strikes again!

Well in the last week we had record low temps here in Australia and snow in some part and we are weeks from summer.

There was music in that episode? I guess I pretty much blocked it all out of my mind, too.

Does anyone else wonder what Christopher is going to do to keep busy in Stars Hollow? Does he even work anymore? Won't he be bored? They don't have an electronics store, I don't think. Will he roam over to the DFI everyday to hang out with Lorelai? Hang out at Weston's drinking coffee all day? I can't imagine him in the Hollow. Just doesn't compute.
