Also, sometimes I read the wrong fanfic. And in this case it is very important that I pick the perfect fan fic that I can pretend that is what happened.

O my gosh... that clip from the Return of JJ... oh please. That clip alone was annoying, and I completely agree that PP has no personality or voice inflection. Count me out of watching that (even though I was never going to get into it anyway). Yuck and Yawn.

Bye Cappuccino!!

So, Tara, my sadness is starting to come in tidal waves. I was able to repress any and all feelings about it until now, and now it's coming in droves Watching F&S yesterday made me realize that, even though LL kissed and pretty much showed each other that they are still in love, they really aren't even in the same place in their relationship as they were in F&S in season 1, that's how far they backtracked. That just makes me mad. I mean, I wish we could have seen their wedding and everything that ASP seemed to promise us during the first 5 seasons, but I'm almost more upset that the characters themselves were barely friends again, barely comfortable around each other again by the end of the series, a point that pre-dates the pilot itself. I managed to watch the finale 5 (I know, I know) times on Wednesday - first two times on my own, crying - then once with one of my friends who came by for lunch, not crying - then once with my roommate, not crying and then just once more before going to bed, *blubbering*

So yeah

We watch TV to see episodes, not to imagine them. I'm surprised we need to keep saying that. The story they served up this year was unpalatable and offensive for many viewers who'd been led to expect something different. They pulled a bait and switch - and while some didn't mind the switch, the rest of us feel played for suckers - because they weren't honest and didn't give us the choice. I regret letting them get away with destroying my good memories of Stars Hollow, it's a place I once loved and I still don't know if I'll ever be able to dissociate and forget these ugly memories enough to really get it back.
Oh caf - thank you, for what feels like the millionth time, for articulating so well why so many of us are angry and dissatisfied with the show.

I looked at the Jezebel clip - too weird for me that Amy has made PP look like a skinnier LG!!

I don't want to add to the tidal waves here, which I'm experiencing along with some of you, but I don't want to miss the opportunity, while our spoiler thread is still open, to say this regarding the time spent here and on the defunct MT:

After being an avid lurker for some long months and finally registering to FF in October 2005, I've since made nearly 4500 posts of which 4449 have undoubtedly included some form of a well deserved THANK YOU.

So, thanks to all who shared spoilers, sides, podcasts, vodcasts, screeners, call sheets, casting notices, ships, PMs and avis, terms which were all new to me.

Thank you for opening new threads, for banners, for deciphering sharpied sides, for photos, PBPs, interviews, transcripts, episode descriptions, titles, discussions, debates, specs, articles, schedules, ratings, tour reports and promos of all shapes and forms.

A special thank you to the episode clip providers during my time, Jet, Jo, Tazzded and blaab ( and a sincere apology to anyone I've forgotten, please stand up, lol), who brightened up my Wednesdays and without whom I'd be stuck to this day in seasons past (some may think - not such a bad thing).

Thank you for the LL sanctuary, where I learned about zen boats, ducks, tool belts and pumps, where quote games and OT often ruled, and where I first learned to hyperlink. I'm so sad we didn't get our LL elopement or gazebo wedding, which we imagined so vividly back then, I just never thought our imagination, was all we'd be left with for eternity. Both LL and us fans deserved so much more.

It wasn't always fun or easy or calm, but I'm grateful for all the interesting, humorous, helpful, generous, verbose and understanding people I've met here on the spoilers threads, from all over the world, all getting together for a love of a show. I've befriended some, and will miss others as this closes soon, which makes the departure of this beloved show only more painful. But, I still hope to see many of you on other GG related threads, for a long time yet.

I will always remember GG as a unique, enchanting show, and this fandom experience as one of a kind during its up and downs – I hope I find some other great shows, though hard to believe, but at the same time, I hope I can avoid getting as involved and sucked in as I did with GG, lol.

Cheers and see ya around!

I'll be here till the end, but needed to get that off my chest in time. Phew!

It is sad. But I guess the good news is that we were shown that L/L were headed in the right direction. That was clear to me in the diner scene. And now that I think about it, I actually kind of disagree with you. Because L/L are much wiser now than they were back in season one. I also think the only reason their friendship was still strained in 7.22 was because they still had intense feelings for each other. By the end of the episode, it was clear to me that their friendship was solid once again. JMO

I don't know, maybe it's the last chance to post it, so I want to express my feelings.
What else could I add? That it was a marvellous time I spent here since I decided to be a part of GG forum in July 2005. My journey together with Gilmore Girls didn't last so long, because I watched it in summer 2004 on German TV for the first time. They repeated previous seasons and I got an opportunity to watch seasons 1-3 at once. And I fell in love with them, with the show. Maybe because it was so different, maybe because of the specific wit and humour, maybe because of the actors, especially Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson. I appreciated the culture references, interesting for a person living outside the US. I appreciated the small things, small gestures, talks, strange characters (Kirk, Taylor, Miss Patty). I think, all co-workers on the show deserve our recognition, even if the show had its ups and downs and the last two seasons didn't give us, the fans, all what we expected. But despite it it was always worth to watch.
So, my thanks for all - showrunners, scriptwriters, actors, the staff, and WB!
There was a community around the show - and it was a great place for all fans to exchange opinions and infos, to speculate, discuss - in short - just to talk. The most people here live in America, a part all around the world - from Australia to Europe. All the people have built the GG community. They did the research, brought the news, posted photos, songs, tour descriptions. It took a lot of time to make the transcripts (Craig, thanks!).
It was nice to be here. To be GG fan. To post on MT or L&L Spoiler Thread. Thanks!

Do widzenia! Good Bye!

But I will be here till the thread ends!

Less than three minutes of L/L on screen together is pure hooey whether they are headed in a good direction or not. Wasting that incredible L/L chemistry was just about the most absurd thing DR did with the rest of this crappy season.

I'm glad they are heading in the right direction - so what? I wanted to see at least some of it. I have to say that it is actually a little surprising that so many L/L lovers were satisfied with the crumbs - I just think we got royally gypped - but, I'm glad so many people are happy - I guess I just can't figure out why, unless it is just because we have come to expect so little and are satisfied that at the least they did wind up together.

I'm off. Have a good life guys! It's been fun and again, thanks for everyone's time in brining spoilers, articles, doing transcripts, photos, all of it. With all that, the fans sure deserved better -

I was satisfied because that bit of L/L interaction gave me more emotional satisfaction than any wedding ever could. My parents felt the same way, and they love L/L almost as much as I do. I didn't consider what we got as crumbs. Personally, I'll never figure out why so many are bitter about the L/L ending. So mileages clearly vary.

Thanks for the Jezebel clip Cappu (and good bye, hope to see you around a lot).
That clip was not funny, nor witty or poignant.

Mag, well said. It was a community here, which I usually enjoyed being part of. Many took part in building this GG community, and that's a special memory to keep.

BTW, anyone know when the first GG spoiler thread opened?

Once again, you speak my thoughts, lol. It was beautiful, but it was crumbs. Stale crumbs. See you around!
