| Thanks for all the articles being brought over and farewell to those already leaving us here. I need more time. It speaks volumes about the fickle relationship us fans had with TPTB when we say it's better this ended now because we don't trust them. But, we have every right to feel this way. Nevertheless, I still wanted a number of episodes planned and written specifically knowing they were the very last. Season eight, full or partial would've been just those. And just as we pretty much got a lot regarding the townies' good bye, the secondary characters had their closure (Paris, Lane) and even things are pretty clear where they're headed regarding Lorelai and her parents, I believe LL would've been allowed to reach their destiny as depicted for them over the years, the destiny we all stuck around so long to see. ETA - Congrats, Copperboom! I envy you for all the time you spent touring theWB lot. I definitely would've done the same had I lived nearby. It seems magical, and I'm sure every tour brought on its new surprises. | Cut scene from last night's episode: Lorelai at Sookie's house picking up the fanny pack, which is bright green. Lorelai notices the baking and Sookie covers by saying she's trying out new pie recipes, and she's evasive about where Jackson is. They talk about what Lorelai and Rory did that day, and it's disappointing that the roller coaster trip is off, but how exciting this job is for Rory, and what a great opportunity it is. Sookie suggestively comments how funny it is that Luke's trip gets canceled, then Lorelai's trip gets canceled. Lorelai acts nonchalant, refusing to bite. | |||

| I really hope we get some actual bonus features on the DVDs. Just some deleted scenes would be great. | *takes a deep breath* I have a pile of used tissues on my desk now... and I honestly didn't think I'd need them. I really was expecting the worst for the whole show, not just L&L. I started bawling from when the theme song came on, knowing it'd be the last time, and I really didn't stop much after that. I honestly had't shed a tear for GG in a very long time, but they finally worked out how to bring some emotion to the show, shame it was the last one... but it's fitting in a way. I think LG, AB and SP were at the top of their game tonight, and hats off to them for providing the emotion this episode needed. I'm not even going to bother being bitter about L&L. Even though they only showed a couple of scenes with them itogether... at least they were quality scenes. Rather than them take up the whole episode, and possibly overdo it in some respects with bad writing or whatever. Plus think of it this way alll you fanfic readers/writers. If they'd wrapped the L/L story up completely in a nice little bow, there'd be nothing to write about in fics... at least this way the finale should inspire some great stories. I'm so sad that it's over though... taking all the drama and bitterness and anger away, this was a once in a lifetime show that captured the hearts of all who watched it. 7 years with it's share of ups and downs, and the hardest part is letting go. | Damn, I don't think I have ever loved an EW review more than that one, I even choked up a little while reading it ... HUH, weirdness ... just a fantastic review or one that comes so close with how I experienced this ep! I thought about qouting what I loved best from the review, but well it is pretty much the whole thing. I did especially love the Emily/Lorelai stuff ... and yeah the Lorelai visiting Rory's room ... and ... and well all really ... The Richard/Lorelai bit was fantastic also ... I loved how Richard was almost gonna cry a little but than kind of looked away some ... and I loved loved loved how Lorelai said "Luke" right before he said how he loves to see her happy ... the way he said it I absolutely loved also. I am sure I will watch her say just that "Luke" many many times. A scene that will only last like 2 seconds, but so full of all kinds of emotions! And there were so many Townies moments that were so great! I loved the Babette and Miss Patty stuff, I loved Luke and Zack standing up to Taylor and Kirk, how much am I gonna miss Kirk ... that look on his face (he sure was aware of the importance of his task with the lightbulb) ... will Sean Gunn ever get a part that will show his quirkyness (and I do believe SG is made for this stuff) like his part as Kirk? So many things to love about this show ... and so many things I will definitely miss! But well I have 153 eps of a show that I totally, absolutely adore, one ep more than the other, sure, but in every ep I always had a few, and in some many, moments that I wouldn't want to have missed for anything, same goes for some storylines ... but all in all, so many hours of characters that I instantly fell in love with ... with all their flaws and messyness, but also with a realness I am afraid I will not see again ever on a TV screen! And yeah, back to those things I would have liked differently, to be fair I also got so many moments I never could have imagined I would get to see. Scenes, storylines, quotes, just a look, a smirk that were so brilliant (over all these years), so touching, so telling, so funny and yeah sometimes so annoying  ... I will miss this show, but I definitely love the fact of knowing that I have all these eps to look at whenever I feel like it! Okee, this morning was too soon for me, but I am gonna watch the ep again now and I am pretty sure this time the tears will come But in a good way ... in a Damn, this was a great ride-way! And after that I am so gonna get me some sleep The only thing I won't miss on a wednesday, walking around in need of some sleep at work after getting up too early for MY FAVOURITE SHOW EVER!!! | I actually didn't need to hear them say they were taking the boat trip together - I completely assume they do - the set up for it was done over the course of a few episodes - They will stay in the hotels he booked and sit out on the deck of Barnicle Billy's - I have no doubt about it. I was actually surprised they had Luke give her the necklace, so many times things just disappear from the show - and, in my head I can imagine that they also actually talked in the scene in which he gave her the necklace; she probably admitted the song did mean something, etc. I guess I would have liked to see it but my dislike of DR as a writer may have written it like crap and then I'd be disappointed. So, I'm fine having that scene done in my head. I'll miss all the characters, but Luke is the only one I'll feel sad about not seeing again. | |||

| I was a blubbering mess the entire episode!! even though i was left pretty unsatisfied because there wasnt enough... I mean L&L shouldve talked and Rory shouldve said like dontget married while i'm gone.. and its not just the L&L stuff it was missing, it was missing so much. i need more! but it was an overall good episode. i just think there needed to be more! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh __________________ GILMORE GIRLS REUNION MOVIE! | Thank you Nicolalala for the extra info, and all the rest you've shared with us throughout the season. Much appreciated. I remember the info about the scene with Sookie, but seeing as Lorelai was nonchalant about Luke in that scene as well, (like she showed no sympathy at all when he told her and Rory in the diner that the trip with April was cancelled, she knew how excited he'd been about it ...), then I'm glad they cut it out. I wonder if they cut out any LL scenes ....
