After a rewatch all I can say is... I loved it. I cried just as much the second time around and it really felt like a goodbye not a see you later. Some parts were rushed and uneven, and I agree with SP and KB that in the L/L respect I feel slightly cheated. But.. not so much because of the finale. More because it just shouldn't have been dragged out till the last episode.

IMO, "soomeone" dragged the negotiations till the end, not giving them the opportunity to let the pieces fall into place, otherwise the boring L/C story wouldn't have lasted so long and the LL reaunion would have happened sooner.

Having still to see the ep - I think L&L should have got back together after the song and agreed to take it slow and then the big "Making Up"

could happen in the final, along with the townies finding out.

And I'm sure there's plenty more.
She either forgot these or these meant nothing to her.

I felt the 'take all the time you need' from Luke was more regarding this last moment Lorelai was having with Rory ... since before in that ep Lorelai spoke a few times about how it was too soon and she thought she would have more time. And well to me it just showed Luke gets Lorelai (again) and her need to have this moment while having this symbolic last breakfast at Luke's and this little game she has played so many times while being there with Rory (that we have seen played out many of times, it never bore me though) of not knowing what to order and all.

Okee, in general I feel very happy about this ep and also about the Lorelai/Luke ending ... but as always I will need to see it again to really know how I feel

I do still have to block Logan from my mind though ...

Overall it was a good episode but on the LL front not so much. Yes it leaves no doubt that they are together ( i don't think the "take all the time you need" meant anything) the kiss, the looks in the diner. But why didn't DR give us the scene where Luke gives her the necklace? They could have cut 2 minutes from that secret town meeting and voila our scene. But noooo we don't want to give them too much.

And i liked the kiss, if only the camera didn't fade away.

Well if that someone name starts with "L" then she can bite me too

IMO Lauren had very little impact on the SL directly, no matter what rumours are out there. She may have indirectly, by making it seem she was "all in" for S8 in some form, so giving DSR false hope for at least 13 eps to explore a new SL with L&L.

Oh those were all gestures for her so she doesn't get them or rather they don't mean anything. Luke has to pull out the big guns for Rory otherwise he is just the dude who pours her coffee and tends to her every needs when SHE wants him to and if he is not fast enough she just tosses him aside and jumps and marries another man.

So I walk in the door, and before I can even shut it, I'm informed that my presence is required at some presentation thing for my mum's work... which won't finish until 4 or 5 hrs from now. I feel like I'm never gonna see this damn episode.

hahaha me too, the alt and tab keys are so faded. But I make the FF window really small so as not to make it obvious when going from the colourful FF page, to the white work screen. It's an art form really.

I wish technology was advanced enough that you didn't necessarily "need" the actors to play out every scene. Once they had a 3D image of them, and had them pronounce nearly every sound available, they could use technology to create a show that way, or in our case, go back and change a show! That way once the actors had enough, or get too picky, greedy, etc. you could kick them to the curb and still continue until you wrapped up ALL the storylines.

Forgive me for my strange imagination, I'm going crazy waiting.
