It was satysfying ending for me! It was like a promise - now I can believe.... Luke and Lorelai were written in the stars....

Thinking about the quote from 7.21......they're both on the same page now and they both "jumped" together this time (met in the middle kiss).....LL were engaged and in love, but never on the same page....so one of the things I take from the finale is the knowledge that they're both ready to jump into their relationship with all they have, but this time, will do it right and take their time

i'm convinced watching the kiss & final diner scene over and over makes everything better

Katie--yep, stuck in my head too. as well as Luke's "I just like seeing you happy".....I don't think listening to that line will ever get old

On the finale ratings--i wonder how high they would have gone if they'd been able to launch a real series finale campaign, the kind that starts counting down 5 or so eps ahead of time and is advertised on many media outlets.

On the DVD extras--IIRC, Craig's site had some finale spoilers that mentioned wedding dresses and such that people saw on tour. I'm sure it was just old sets or storage, so I don't mean to get anyone's hopes up. But as I was reading through people's pleas for DVD extras I thought--if DR and the CW really wanted to sell the DVDs for this season, those wedding dresses would have been for an extra, DVD only scene of LLs wedding. Sigh.

It was also full circle that they came together in the same spot that Lorelai kicked him to the curb a year ago - man, what a guy. I'm actually relieved I don't have to hear Loreali explain her behavior with Chris to him - I would never want to see the poor guy have to listen to that stuff and be seen believing any of it made sense.

So, instead of spending her last morning before her new job with her mother and Chris, she is spending exactly where she should. Good choice.
