DFI: Rory and Lorelai pulling up to DFI.Rory saying Michel says that L always embarasses celebrities. L goes up to CA and says Rory is a big fan. Rory comes over and talks to CA tells her how much she admires her. CA gives Rory her card and tells her to send her some of her writing. CA leaves.

The scene in Rory's bedroom from DC. L and R diiscuss Roller coasters

Lorelai says that she thinks she and Luke are over. She says they are better as friend. Discuss Rory's party.

Luke's diner Luke is ordering the meat and buns for the party. Liz comes in with Doula and asks Luke to babysit. She asks Luke if he gave L the necklace. He says that he and L are just friends.

FND: Rory is talking to someone about ajob and not there. Emily is talking about adding a spa to the Inn. Rory comes in and says she got a job. Hugo asked her if she would like to cover the Obama campaign for his online magazine. She said yes. she has to leave in 3 days. She is supposed to be in Iowa on Monday. L says that they can do the coasters another time. Emily says the line about "this is it" We won't be seeing you for a while.

L and R in the diner Rory talking about all they have to get before she goes. Lorelai tells Luke that the party is cancelled. She tells them that R got the job. Babette, Patty, and Kirk are upset about the party being cance;lled. They do a pretend reenactment in the diner. "So this is goodbye, nothis is more lie a see you later" Townies are reaaly upset.

DFI Luke comes into the kitchen to talk to Sookie. They talk about the cancellation of the party. He suggests a surprise party. He says that Rory would love it, She said L would love it too. They decide to do it.

L and R doing shopping for shampoo book light, etc.They go over to Miss Patty's to check about a back pillow, but it is locked, Patty says that she is consulting her Muse. They are having a meeting about the party. Sookie is at home making desserts. They discuss need for permits. They need music, Kirk vlolunteers. Decorations Lulu volunteers. Taylor is complaining about need for permits. Luke says we're doing this. They will meet in the square after dark to get started.

At night: Rory is going to visit Lane. L is going to Sookies to borrow a fanny pack. In the background the townies ar moving the party things so the girls won't see.

Lane and Rory talking about life> Zack calls Lne inside and tells her they want to set up and Rory is sitting outside with Lane looking at the square.

Rory tells Lane that she is getting nervous. Can she do the job. She is freaking out about leaving her Mom. She tells Lae that Lorelai is really calm, Lane says L is freaking out on the inside. Rory says she will iss Lane they have a great friendship.

Rory at Home. L is ironing. Rory asks her why she is so calm The line about if I stop to think about you leaving I'llfall apart. L says its too soon to get upset. (she also says the fanny pack was a bad idea--she would get made fun of.)

Townies is the square getting tables, Jackson comes with cenerpieces etc.
Babetter comes screaming in saying that her ankles are swelling and that means its going to rain. They try to think of other ideas.

CS: Lorelai goes into Rory's room Sits on her bed while Rory sleeps.

Luke's: Luke is putting the test togithe with fishing wire

The jeep is pulling up to the square Zack and Jackson come out with umbrellas and the girls run under the tent. It is pouring rain (like preview). Kirk presents sash to Rory. Everyone is there L sees E and R standing at the other side. Sookie invited them. R says that he thins this for L as well as Rory. " It takes a remarkable person to inspire this." Taylor welcoming everyone comparing it too the birth process.

Later: Emily is still talking about investing in the Inn maybe adding tennis courts. Lorelai says they'll just talk about it at FND. E and R say goodbye to Rory.

Sookie, tells L that it was all Luke, he organized everything. Lorelai goes to look for luke. Luke comes out of diner with charcoal.. She says thank you. " Ijust like to see you happy." The kiss. (definitely need to watch this again!)

The girls are in the CS with Rory's luggage. L needs more time. She talks to Rory about the bus ride and which seat to pick. She keeps on talking. Rory says "you've given me everything I need." It's 5 am L says they have a stop to make. At Luke's: Luke pours them coffee. R and L say thaey can't decide what to order. Luke looks at L and says take your time. L is wearing the necklace. The two are sitting talking with Luke in the background like the end of the pilot.

Now I have to cry!!!

I thought it was beautiful, all of it. The only thing missing was a sweet R/L hug. I cried like 4 times. The scene where Lorelai goes into Rory's room? Oh, man, I was bawling. Thank you, Lauren, for suggesting the changes.
