Those guys in the podcast are so annoying. Do they always have to say something negative about an episode? I'm glad I don't listen to them ..

I am not saying I want her to just flounce up to Luke and announce she still loves him - I am saying that I hope that they actually have a real talk - just like so many others have finally done on this show - and that saying they still love one another is a part of that talk and that they choose to explore the possibility of a romantic life together again after admitting their feelings, fears, whatever - possibly on the boat trip.

As much as I liked the serenade - that just doesn't cut it for me. I'm glad you are satisfied with it - I'm not, that's all. An I Love You to Luke in the two seasons L/L were together would have always been different to me than all her babbling of it to Chris because I actually believed the character really was in love with Luke. Whereas with Chris I knew it was nothing more than good old fashioned crap....just my opinion obviously.

I think the IWALY moment was actually supposed to be something special for the JJs--to give us an ILY from Lorelai to Luke that was completely special and nothing like the ILYs she constantly said to Christopher.

I agree and I thought it was quite clever, especially since it did come out so wonderfully acted by both.

Still, I wish we finally got direct communication and openness between them. I can only hope this so called "new understanding" they reach seconds before the final curtain falls forever, is them actually discussing, deciding and agreeing about it.

Well, considering we're dealing with DR and not

, I think we might possibly have a shot at getting an actual talk between them--and hopefully that talk will contain some variation on ILY/ISLY/INSLY.

And I'm not saying the karaoke scene was "enough;" I just think it was given to us before any talk to show the depth and truth of Lorelai's love for Luke vs. her love for Christopher.

They are on the East Coast. The news came out around 2ish here, I believe. And Mike posted his entry around 3, so the announcement must have come out right towards the end of the podcast.

I think the song was very different from ILYs to Chris or Luke. She was telling Luke she still loves him, but not with the expectation of a relationship or any reciprocation. This was her laying her feelings on the table, taking a risk even though she has no idea if he wants more than friendship. It means more than the frequent ILYs to Christopher because she was baring her soul in a way she never did to Christopher. (And I'll always believe that though she loves Chris, she was never in love with him. I can live with the ILYs looking at them that way.) I still want to hear ILYs exchanged between LL. It isn't the same as the song or the one-sided LL ILYs we've gotten so far.

I'm going to be very sad if they overpromote the last episode as the last episode ever. Kind of putting in the knife and turning it . Maybe someone at the network will have a little heart and do a Gilmore recap type episode for better closure.

Does it air "live" in the US sometimes or always recorded hours/days before they post it?

I like the song, at first it was a joke and then she was nervious (probably about to run) but it got real serious after the first "I'll always love you" and didn't turn back. Just a pity we didn't have Lorelai walk up to Luke and kiss him there and then, imagine the bar's reaction!

ahhh. i just read that there won't be a season 8 and it really makes me incredibly mad that they wasted half the season on the C/L marriage !

Am I the only one who can't stop crying ?
I feel like as if everybody were moving on with their lives and just not realizing that there will never ever be another episode of Gilmore Girls. As if everybody were remembering only the bad from the show and were not able to look back and just see that it's the end.
I've just watched Lorelai's Graduation Day ( again ) and I burst into tears all of a sudden when Lorelai moved her tassel from one side to the other , realizing how much I love this show. Even though some mistakes have been made during the last two seasons, I'm so grateful for everything Gilmore Girls gave me. I can't believe I'm the only one in tears right now. At this very moment I don't feel strong enough to say anything bad about Gilmore Girls, I just can't, it's too recent. I just don't know how you do it. You're all braver than I am.

The point is I know people are saying :enjoy what's going to happen, they will be together at the end..but my thought is:

I've know they were meant to be together since the first episode, we all knew it,we have seen them waltzing around this feeling for 4 years, and finally that kiss the relationship started they were finally committed but no, they had to screw everything up, and now again they will be together at the end..but as I said I already knew what I expected for 7 years is to watch the middle,and a kiss it's no enough.

We have finally see again their looks, those special one at the karaoke and thinking that we had to wait half and a year to get them back and then now they're telling us enjoy it guys because they're the last one..it's unfair.

They showed them under the chuppah and let us wonder all this time..what will finally happen when they'll understand truly understand that they desreve each other, that they're meant to be??

That's why I'm not okay with this being the end because I know they love each other I just wanted it to be displayed.
