The CW: LOGAN PROPOSES ON THE DAY RORY GRADUATES FROM YALE ? On the eve of Rory’s (Alexis Bledel) graduation, Emily (Kelly Bishop) and Richard (Edward Herrmann) throw her a party and perform a song in her honor. At the party, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Christopher (David Sutcliffe) are reunited for the first time since their separation, and both are relieved to find they can still be friends. Logan (Matt Czuchry) surprises everyone at the party by proposing to Rory, but she is too shocked to give him an answer and begs Lorelai to help her decide what to do. On graduation day, Rory and Paris (Liza Weil) receive their diplomas, and Rory finally gives Logan her answer. Meanwhile, Lorelai is embarrassed about her karaoke serenade to Luke (Scott Patterson) the night before, and Luke is hurt when he overhears her saying it didn’t mean anything. Melissa McCarthy and Sean Gunn also star. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode written by David Babcock & Jennie Snyder

The CW:STARS HOLLOW THROWS RORY A GRADUATION PARTY / CNN JOURNALIST CHRISTIANE AMANPOUR MAKES A GUEST APPEARANCE — Just as Rory (Alexis Bledel) lands her dream job as a political reporter, Luke (Scott Patterson) enlists the help of everyone in Stars Hollow to throw her a graduation party. Emily (Kelly Bishop) and Richard (Edward Herrmann) attend the huge party, where Rory makes a speech thanking Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and the whole town for giving her such a great start in life. Luke’s thoughtfulness brings out an unexpected reaction from Lorelai (Lauren Graham). Finally, on the morning that Rory leaves Stars Hollow to start her career, Luke opens the diner before dawn to share a celebratory breakfast with the Gilmore girls. CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour makes a cameo appearance as a guest at the Dragonfly Inn. Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale and Sean Gunn also star.

Speaking of which. I watched a trailer of that new movie she did with Diane Keaton (who I just love!), but I don't think I'll ever be able to watch this without thinking it's Lorelai. Too bad..

Hi, i have been lurking here for a really long time, but never had the courage to post. When i finally decided to register ( a few weeks ago), I think i accidentally erased the email to confirm registration, so i couldn't post, and I lost my courage again. But after this horrible news, i couldn't help it. I had to participate in the discussion. I think my heart stopped the minute i read: Gilmore Girls Canceled. I was pretty confident that a s8 was going to happen.
I'm sorry to talk about this again, since i see you guys are getting back to speculate about the next episodes, and are slowly healing, but i have to let this out.
I don't blame LG at all. For me, if there's anyone from the show who cared how GG ended was her. The fact that she required some changes for the last script proves that to me, because she knew there was a possibility that this was going to be the last season, and wanted to tie lose ends as mush as possible. DR was gambling with the future of the show, and he probably hadn't written the last episode, in order to fit a series finale. I'm not saying that now this finale is going to satisfy us, but i bet that it's much better than the original one. On the other hand, LG never said that she wouldn't do a s8, she always said that she might do, and that there was a possibility. Even Ed Herrman, said in his interview that he thought LG wanted to come back, but he was not sure about AB. So, for me LG only stayed true to her promise and pact with AB, where they agreed to only come back if the other wanted and to make the decision together. Thus, although I think LG didn't mind to do another season, she stayed by AB's side, as she always said she would. I don't want to judge AB, but i think she's the main reason why the show's not coming back. But most of all, I blame the CW, because apparently they had reached an agreement three days ago, but suddenly the CW backed out, probably because they thought they had managed to get a show who would have success next season. Stupid CW. The fact LG received the news in a restaurant, and not in an official meeting, proves that to me too.
And finally, of course LG is saying she's happy about how the show is ending. What is she supposed to say? "I hate that the show is ending, and specially how it is ending. The CW made an awful decision and DR is stupid for dragging this whole thing".
Well, it's just my opinion, but i think the CW is the main responsible for this whole thing.

Sorry, for barging in here, but now that i finally have, i'm sad that it took me so much time, and now the show is ending. I'd like to thank all of you for bringing spoilers here, for all your beautiful speculations and most of all for keeping me company in my obsession for GG.

Yes, it just hits you, that word combo "last ever" or "we'll never again see/get..."

For me the ending of this show, whenever, would've always been a sad occasion. It's the "how" and "why" of it now that's adding the bitterness, anger and disappointment.

Only good thing about the CW that I'll rememeber, were those DCs they put up. I don't think we had them on the WB, did we?

i just hate to see it ends like that. It really will end in a low note while most of the other shows end their shows in a very high note, though, don't they? I just hate to see it just ends by LL kissing and that's it. No more? Hate it!

Yep, same here.

I could have lived with the end when the sls would have been "solved" in a way.
But what will we have now? THe new beginning of another relationship of LL, nothing solved with April (and the LL relationship), Rory single (and most likely misserable cause she really loved Logan, although she didn't want to marry him), she won't have her dream-job, she'll be away from SH and her mother, LR keep having secrets (the no for the internship, Lorelai's feelings for Luke...), Chris will still be there as a friend, so everything seems possible AGAIN. Lorelai doesn't hve her whole package, Luke's still living above the diner, Rory is single and Lorelai still doesn't get along with her parents. We could have stopped watching at episode 4.21 and would have the same outcome.

Thank you gjoni. And I totally agree that what it's worst is how it's going to end, not that is in fact ending.. because.. well .. it had to be someday. I just wish we had known since the beginning of the season, and not two episodes before it ends. I'll try really hard to enjoy them...but the truth is that i have not seen any GG scene since the news came out or listen to any music, afraid that i'm going to cry my eyes out. But maybe then..it would help me to heal.. but just seeing pictures of LL, makes me miss them already

Which I take to mean we will never get all things fixed or solved, that can only happen when you die, so unless SH disappears into a black hole it's SLs will always go on.

I agree they could have filled 13 or even 22 eps with more stories, Lorelai's relationship with not only Luke but also her parents, will they be in a good place in 2 eps. What of Rory and Logan ot her father? Will the good thing L&L have going now with April go on? These are all things that could have been answered with 13 more eps.

I decided instead of wailing about GG I`ll enjoy the beautiful weather and go to the famous "spring fling"

of our town today

(no it`s no REAL spring FLING it is just a town festival called "spring festival" with bands playing and diffent booth' offering all kinds of delicious food and drinks

and a huge crowd of people having a good time

) seems more fun than to think about GG right now
