You would be correct. It has to do with Rory and L/C getting final closure. Or so I've heard. And yes, Lorelai is completely over Chris. But I don't think closure can happen at the same time as the actual break-up. It requires a bit of time and distance, which L/C have had by now.

IMO Lorelai will be in denial AGAIN when someone asks her about the song and she brushes it off not knowing Luke is nearby. I doubt she would say anything in the diner so I' thinking either Luke comes to the DFI or CS and hears them. Or maybe Dooses, but when will Lorelai find out and will this be the cause of Luke not being at graduation, I hope it doesn't go over into the following ep.

But I'm not too worried knowing that they will kiss and be romantic in the final. Jeez my standards have dropped!

As for the divorce stuff, IMO they will date and have sex (lots and lots) and even spend the night at the CS, but I don't think Luke will move in till it is final. This all depends if the divorce is even mentioned again or if they just expect us to assume it was dealt with. I fo hope it is mentioned in UTB.

And I don't see how that is a very good ep for any shipper. No Luke at graduation, Final nail for C&L and to top it off R&L break up.

The people I've talked to enjoyed Chris stirring things up last season too. That's when we had the conversation.

I was on a tour at the start of 7.22, and Miss Patty's was still set up for a town meeting, and there was a paper on the podium about a squirrel problem in town. Sadly there was nothing remaining that related to the graduation or anything of substance that I could see.

Maybe Luke calls a town meeting to get them to help with the party in the final?

I'm just hoping we get a GOOD reason as to why Luke is not at the graduation, maybe he is the bigger man and steps aside for Chris, but that thought just makes me sick. Luke should be there, after Lorelai and the grandparents he should be next on the list, ahead of Chris!

I'm still hoping he is hanging out at the back and while on stage Rory sees him and they share a smile. This is for Rory and any possible post karaoke fight with Lorelai should not play a part.

Yeah, I was there during the beginning of 7.22 filming, too, and my guide told us the last time they used the dance studio was the townies being upset that they weren't invited to the graduation and calling a town meeting for it.

And when we get into Patty's, that paper on the podium was there and I had fun reading it, pretending to be Taylor going on about SH's squirrels.

Thanks, with. I think there will plenty of interesting stuff in 7.21. I'm just going to close my eyes during the C/L parts and enjoy the rest of the episode. I don't really care why C is there, I still can't watch him. But L/L are heading in the right direction so might as well enjoy what I can!

ETA - thanks, katiegg. Were you a little irritated to read about squirrels, lol? I kept looking for something important on that podium!

I don't think 7.21 will be too bad. I don't like Chris, but at least we know for sure that nothing will actually happen between L/C this time.

I agree, it's not like they will kiss, aka Max in season 3 at Chilton.

No one else is gonna see the goodies again.
