After using the silly (I thought anyway) metaphor earlier in the season about Lorelai supposedly hanging onto the bumper of a car, etc. I like that they ignited the friendship again using the purchase of a car.

Still so much want some indication of what Luke is thinking right now - just a few seconds or so....what I'm hoping is that after Luke is hurt in 7.21, Lorelai finds out - either he starts acting a bit distant again and this time, she just flat out asks him why he's acting that way and he admits the reason - that, at least, would show some growth.

I just don't want 7.21 to end with Luke still hurt but now that we know that the kiss isn't until 7.22 and it is unexpected, I'm guessing that the whole thing isn't cleared up by the end of 7.21 because if it was, Lorelai would have told him the song did mean something and then the kiss wouldn't be so unexpected....make sense?

Did anyone else notice when Luke comes to tell Lorelai about the guy withthe car that his name was "Larry" - the same "stupid guy" from "Say Something"

Woke up this morning log into FF and saw a new thread... Thought we had some new and exciting news and almost every post was about "him" sheesh... not good thing for me.

Wasn't the last episode of GG GREAT... I am still watching and marvelling how great it was. So many L/L goodness to enjoy. I think I'll watch it 27 times and pretend I am watching from S6 - 14 to S7-19 and they were all full of GG and L/L gooness.

I believe MA just said they most likely wont wait till upfronts to announce it if the deal is signed before. But no news on it yet. Sigh

I don`t care if it is ever talked about the divorce in the show ... I don`t think that Luke wants to get serious with Lorelai until her divorce isn`t final, so I think the more serious they get the more we can assume that that special paper is signed. It doesn`t seem to make sense that the divorce would make it intro the SL...Chris is out of Lorelais life in terms of family/husband ... so why waste any time on sth that has to do with him.

Love the title!! Thanks for the thread Peachypeep. I don't want to see any divorce proceedings, I just want it mentioned that it's a done deal. I am hoping that Lorelai does go on vacation with Luke but I would prefer it if she was already divorced or that they found out the marriage wasn't even legal.

If L/L go on a boat trip this summer, I'd prefer that the divorce be final. I can't see either of them being intimate with each other if Lorelai is still legally married.

Then again, Luke did say the new boat had two beds.

I don't have a problem with them being intimate before the final decree is issued - it is obvious is it over with Chris. People who get separated and go through divorce proceedings get involved and fall in love all the time before the final decree is done.

I understand that people would like to see that L/L start out with as much as a clean slate as possible - but, this show has never done things the easy way - especially since Partings and this season.

I just want to see them happy and passionate together as soon as possible. I'm still not one to believe it is returning next year - just don't believe it. And, I thought we had info that said they don't get intimate this year so, I'm guessing what we get in the finale is all we get.

I hope I'm wrong and they will come back next year. Just something about this whole will they, won't they thing that seems fishy to me....

That would be great. I would like for them to have some little issue that they resolve quickly, on their own, showing that they did learn how to communicate and deal with things better.

I agree. Normally, I would want the decree to be final. However, L/L hooking up prior to the final divorce decree doesn't even come close to what C/L did in Partings. I guess the show has lowered my standards, lol.

I just watched the ep, and I enjoyed it so much. Nothing much to add, except that LW is an awesome actress. If there is a S8, she has to be on the show.

I don't know if this has been discussed, because I didn't have time to read all the threads. I did wonder if Sookie/Jackson was a parallel to L/L. Sookie was annoyed with Jackson until she forgave him. Lorelai made the first move, but they weren't comfortable until Luke forgave her. His finding the other jeep engine, imo, showed that he had forgiven her completely.

Well, I was wrong on the poll, I guessed ep. 19. I thought I'd be optimistic for a change. I'm not too disappointed, as I loved the last ep, and hope the rest is as good.
