I wasn't trying to generalize all tv writers. I was talking about the GG one's who this season have not been so stellar, and while I'm sure they've got great ideas for their own shows and their own characters, haven't exactly done a wonderful job of picking up the pieces of someone else's. I personally think we haven't seen what the gg writers can offer up. RRK and Jenny Snyder have proved more than capable of writing good episodes but I think the specter of Grande Dame Amy still hangs over thier head. I blame her for this crapfest not them. But, despite all that I still cannot believe that fanfic writers could do better. IF you were to plop any of the fanfic writers in a writers room and under the spotlight that gg writers and other tv writers must endure, they to would come off looking bad. I think writers get the worse end of the stick. IF fans like it the actors get the credit...if fans hate it, the writers get the blame. Either way, they get paid a heck of a lot less and deal with a lot more crud

Scene: Luke and Lorelai in an open car lot. Luke is following her as she walks up to a car and opens the driver side door. Fades to Lorelai sitting at the wheel in her jeep listening to Luke.

Luke: [Luke is standing beside the driver’s window arms stretched out wide as he rants to Lorelai] You don’t buy a car based on a feeling.

Promoguy: On the next Gilmore Girls

Scene: Luke and Lorelai on the road driving in Luke’s truck. They are both smiling. Fades to close ups of Lorelai’s and Luke’s faces. They seem uneasy with each other.

Lorelai: [standing in the car lot beside a car talking on her cell phone while Luke is walking around in the background away from her scratching his head and looking up]You know how Jack Bauer should torture terrorists? Make them …. go car shopping with their EXes.

Luke: [close up of Luke standing in the car lot talking to Lorelai in exasperation. Part of the back of Lorelai’s head is in the frame] Are you going to buy a car or not.

Lorelai: [Doing the little hair flippy thing with her left hand as she makes a big show of pondering the question. Then with child-like body flouncing attitude, gives him a kind of sexy, provoking look] Tsk, Not!

Promoguy: A new episode of Gilmore Girls, Tuesday at 10, 9 central on Global

Scene: Lorelai cheerfully riding on her bike with the headset of her cell phone in her ear (as seen in the CW promo).

i can do it as soon as i access it but youtube takes awhile with the promos for some reason.

thanks for the description, 2ggObsessed! I'm excited to see this promo and these scenes. I wonder who she's talking to on her cell. I find it funny, yet also sad, that she's comparing car shopping with Luke to torture.
