It's just a dress. Nothing really fancy. Just Lorelai in a dress. She's probably coming from work or something. It's not unusual for Lorelai to be in a dress.

She has had the straight hair and pony tails before, BUT that black puffy sleeve 80's shirt! What were they thinking. I agree, who did se tick off! She is so beautiful, sometimes, I wonder why they pick some of the stuff they do! I think I had a sirt like that when I was a senior in highschool!

The dress to the diner though, isn't a biggie. She wears them to work all the time (or a skirt) she is probably coming or going to work.

Ah, but it's a dress that reveals a whole lot more of Lorelai's . . . charms than she's worn in quite a while.

Makes me remember Luke's comment in S4 about Lorelai not dressing weather-appropriate when she's with someone.

Seriously, what's with those puffy sleeves? She's riding a bike - doesn't she realize that those sleeves aren't exactly aerodynamical?
I'm also surprised she doesn't have a coffee cup in her hand, and a phone in the other.

So, you all made this maze episode sound really good. Can't wait.
Did Luke have a real, full blown rant?

Aww...I started off really not liking the episode but ended up loving it. The LL scene was poignant, and not in a typical poignant way. It was simple but it worked. I loved "I wanted to help" and "It's really ok"...and Lorelai's smile was so genuine at the end. FINALLY the Luke-growing-into-himself is coinciding with the Lorelai-realizing-what-life-is-about...it's all starting to piece together!

Season 8 season 8! I need you!

I know it's the wrong thread, but I adore Logan. And I thought Lorelai's scene with Sookie was way judgmental, but --and sure, it's probably because I'm a mark-- I blame the writers. IRBIP showed Lorelai and Logan on a different path, completely different than the one they took in this episode.

ETA: How could I forget this! I came into the episode thinking any maze symbolism would be way cheesy -- but I thought it was AMAZING! Props to the writers! I loved the RL scene and then Lorelai finding her way out in the end. And Luke showing her how!

I agree with you, but I think that her being judgemental at the beginning made her acceptance of him at the end even better. Like she saw him in a new light. I think Lorelai is growing up too.
