lorelai walks into the diner in a pretty dress. Luke is in the storage area when he comes out she is sitting there with a tight smile plastered on her face and says "Hi"

Then it goes to the scene from 714. Then sookie says "Well you are talking. your friends again."

Lorelai says "No, not really."

I love, love, love, love that Lorelai pointed out and giggled at the fact that Luke was wearing a bracelet. Classic LL. And I loved their apologies. Awkward, because it's obviously not easy to say what they had to say, but they said what they needed to, were very sincere, and got everything covered. And they were smiling at the end. And you could see the weight lift from their shoulders.

Plus, you have to love the symbolism. Lorelai is lost in the maze until she finds Luke, and he shows her the way. Aaaaw.

The promo was really sweet:

It showed Lorelai entering the diner. Lorelai sits down and says "Hey," to Luke, and he asks, "How's it going?" They're smiling. Then it shows her looking more sad, with a questioning look, still in the diner. Then they show Sookie saying, "You're talking to him, you're friends again," in the DFI kitchen. Lorelai responds by saying that "We're sorta friends, we have a long way to go." They show Lorelai on the bike. The 7.14 wave is shown, then it shows Lorelai on the DFI porch, with on her cellphone, saying, "Luke, it's Lorelai."

Over the whole thing, the promo guy says, "It takes a little courage, and a lot of patience, to find your way back to where you belong."
