I am so happy about this past week's episode. I am just blocking out the return of "him" and hope it will be so short... if I blink he's be gone. But alas that won't happen, I am just focusing on 722.
Ha! I was just thinking the same thing earlier. But then I realized, that when it comes to Christopher, I never get what I want. Thank goodness the happy spoilers are coming in for 22. That way, I can pretend 21 didn't happen at all, if I don't like it. Chris, who? Logan and Rory broke up? Nope. Didn't happen. Hee. It's a shame about Rory not graduating on screen. You would have thought they would have shown it. Huh. Much like the Lone Gunman are in deep cover with William. Yep. I am very nervous about the likability of 21 for me, over all.

SPEC - what if the party goes late and E&R spend the night at the CS, would they join Luke and the girls in the diner the next morning? I know it's not exactly like the end of the pilot but that was night and this is morning.

I just thought the final scene in the diner, I guess that's what they were secretly shooting when that tour couldn't go into the town a few weeks back.

Good idea! Lorelai is homeless then and stays in the middle of the street, a.k.a. her bedroom, enjoying some air, getting some exercise, and freezing.
She needs somewhere to stay. The rest of the story - you know what I mean - happens in Luke's apartment

Well then Rory can bring the grandparents to the diner in the more if Lorelai is already there.

I was told we'll hear when it's final. But that might not be until next season(if there is one). That's just the impression I'm getting, though.

What! so maybe they are still legal?

Does that leave a bad taste in anyone else's mouth

It doesn't mean they haven't started the divorce proceedings. It just means that they haven't been finalized yet.

Still, it'd be a bummer if the series ended with L/C legally married. Which is why, if this is the last season, I fully intend to fanwank that the divorce became final off-screen at some point after 7.21

Graham's play in "Farewell" expressed all the feelings very genuine (pathetic, but "heavy" as well), now her play is "light" to express all the comedy aspects and to show how different the relationship to Luke is compared it to the with Christopher. She's just a good actress and deserves more.
Amen sister!

I just hope you are wrong (or I should say the spoiler) and it's covered in 21 or 22. If not I'd expect it just to be dropped and we can assume that it is over and the divorce is final.

Why do I have to be kidding ?Whenever it happens, I was told that it wasn't going to be a major SL. It's NOT as if Lorelai is "hanging on" to the marriage or anything. It's not going to be used as a major source of drama.

ETA: It's not really a confimed spoiler anyway because it doesn't really affect the SL. I was just letting everyone know that there IS a possibility that we won't hear that the divorce is final until next season. There's nothing dire about that.

But it means that Lorelai could still be married to Christopher when she starts a new realtionship with Luke, and that just seems wrong in many ways.

I was hoping that they would be divorced by the end of the season.
