.
you know as great as Scott looks for his age, he does not look as if he was 40 42, 43 this I can believe

Kasia, ok, I'll simply take your word for it, lol.
really, it's pure math and logic, seriously he can't be a year older especially if Liz is older than Lorelai and younger than Luke

Those have to come in form of little blue jeans, flanell and a mini blue baseball cap lying under the Christmas tree

I hope the kiss is earlier than later in the episode. Maybe she unexpectadly kisses him when she first sees that he has arranged for the party - then when the party is going on they may both be thinking about the kiss and what it means and later is when they come to the "new understanding" that was mentioned in some episode descriptions.

This way, we could see them for a lot of the hour each mulling over what happened while everything is going on around them. Maybe after the party she comes back to the diner and that is when the talk about it.

That's my wish.

This whole episode sounds to so much like a series finale what with E/R there. I know there has been info that this episode was written so it can be either a season or series finale - I just wish they'd make up their minds already.

From Ask Matt this morning:

Quote:
Question: I know television creators are taught to live in fear of the dreaded Moonlighting fiasco of getting fan-favorite characters together, but doesn't the opposite hurt a show just as much? .....Gilmore Girls went downhill because of writing and plot, not Luke and Lorelai hooking up. ...Thanks!— Sara

Matt Roush: As with most things, it depends on the show and the situation. Romantic drama and/or comedy is embedded in the premise of shows like Grey's and Veronica, so keeping core characters apart makes no sense. But adding complications to their relationships does, because that's the way of ongoing weekly drama. I'd argue that breaking up Veronica and Logan makes more sense than the way the Lorelai-Luke mess played out because of 1) the characters' respective ages, 2) the age of the shows themselves and 3) the circumstances. Veronica is in many ways a youth noir about a girl living a hard-knock life in terms of social status and love life. It shouldn't be easy for her. Whereas on Gilmore, Lorelai and Luke kept their distance for a good long time, working through a number of relationships before they finally started playing house. I agree that putting them together did not ruin the show. What ruined the show was separating them by a surprise daughter and a surprise proposal, two contrived twists this once-wonderful show has never quite recovered from ......

I'd say a surprise daughter, a ridiculous proposal/ultimatum and a disgusting french marriage.

IMO the final will be something like this, BTW - just SPEC

- Early on Lorelai will tell Luke they have to cancel the party, either the weather or Rory gets a job and has to go early (the reason for the early morning at Luke as in the description)

- Luke decides to plan the party with the help of the town, but he's in control.

- Luke calls/visits E&R and invites them.

- Then he calls the girls, maybe tricks them to come to the diner ot town square.

- Lorelai give Luke the OMG look as in the studio still.

- She kisses him and it's unexpected.

- They decided to get back together, even though it may not be talked about on screen.

- Maybe they kiss again when the girls go to the diner early morning, just before Lorelai has to take Rory to the train/plane or say goodbye as she drives off. (I'm thinking since she will be going there for a while she might drive so she has a car to use while there, makes sense to me)

- The last scene may be the girls talking or L&L waving goodbye while holding hands outside the diner.

So now I've written this done none of it will come true LOL
