It's pretty much been covered, he didn't say much - but for those who can't get the &*%^*&% vidcast site to play, here's the wording:

Quote:
Ausiello’s vodcast, April 10 - transcript

.... From Seattle we head east to Stars Hollow, where a behind the scenes tussle is ensuing over the show’s season, and possibly series, finale. As many of you have heard, my BFF Lauren Graham requested some tweaks be made to the script, temporarily delaying production and leading to all kinds of rumors, chief among them, that Lauren wanted to downplay Luke and Lorelai's [sic] in the episode. Not true. Multiple sources tell me that Lauren’s notes were not just about Luke and Lorelai, rather they pertained to Lorelai’s scenes with several characters and it was more of a general change in direction to make the scenes “more emotional.” And although all indications are that the changes led to a better and more fulfilling episode, I feel and have always felt that a show works best when the talent stays out of the creative process all together. It’s one of the reasons this show [vidcast] has become an instant phenomena .... [MA goes off into a stupid long joke of him being the “talent” fighting with the vidcast directors]

Have any other shows won Emmy's for their final episode?

The show has had some great scenes over the last 7 years but not one Nom, it could happen for season 7 but not holding out much hope here. Yes they did win one Emmy for Makeup "The Festival Of Living Art".

Night all...

Thanks for the transcript caf.

Why would scenes with other townies need to be emotional? sigh

I'm not sure I was clear enough, but the Emmy stuff was my addition, not anything MA said.

Thanks anvils for first alerting us to the updated vodcast,
and vaso, for the TVGuide ep. description.

I can't wait for this big LL fight. As long as they're communicating and spending time together, it's all for the best. We should've had many more LL close encounters, of any kind, throughout the season.

This is confusing. How can they know if it's "more fulfilling" yet? They have a week left of filming to do still. He makes it sound like the ep is in the can already. And when was production delayed? They were filming all last week(besides Good Friday) and yesterday. Weird.

If LG didn't win an emmy for this show during the first five seasons, I really doubt she is going to get nominated for the dreck this year. I still just think she may have thought the finale should be more emotional - and, given the lack of writing talent by this crew, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and thinking she was probably right in her assessment since it is likely the last episode.

Maybe she gets an Emmy for the most annoying character, or for the character who lost its soul......

Thanks caf does make me feel better reading that, and like most here I think Lorelai has been better since Lauren got the producer credit, should have happened at the start of the season.

Now night..

If production was temporarily delayed, I wonder if that means Friday isn't actually the last day of filming.
