I still don't know why the CW is doing this, both GG and VM have 5 eps left (very sad I know) so why not both come back April 10, then show the "Pussy" show at the end of sweeps? If both shows are not coming back wouldn't it make sense to have the hot new show in sweeps?

The idea of LL eloping now bothers me, too. It's the last thing I want for them, really. I want my LL wedding, damn it, but not a quick elopement. They can have a quickly planned SH wedding, like Liz/TJ did, plan it all in a week or so, but absolutely no eloping. But specing about LL's wedding is pointless unless by some miracle we get another season.


I agree. I understand how GG going would make the CW more apt to keep VM. But it's not like internet fans saying that they'd chose VM over GG is going to make the CW and the WB fight any less to bring GG back... so this whole thing MA started seems pointless to me.

now you all know how much I love L/L but putting that aside for a minute if we truly only get five more eps left, what I don't like is there is nothing positive that has happened in my book with Emily or Richard with regards to Lorelai - in their eyes she didn't make it with Chris - why couldn't get an ep for the future where they are all happy together

the closet i got to see that is the last ep with the wedding when Lorelai was talking to Emily about Rory leaving - but the most emotion I have ever felt from lorelai and maybe I am missing something or a scene is the scene where she brings Max home and she starts railing on her mom

Will we ever get a Lorelai and Emily hug?! Maybe we'll see it if we get a wedding between L&L . (Saying whatever it takes to keep my hopes high)

The VM/GG thing really boils down to the fact that the CW can't afford to lose two shows. If GG goes, VM has a better chance of staying because the CW can't afford to lose its whole lineup. If GG negotiations work out, VM gets the ax.

I think when Buffy was down to the wire, Sarah Michelle Gellar had the decency to tell everyone early on it was over. I hope the girls on GG are kind enough to do the same. I think the announcement about Buffy came earlier than May. I know the CW isn't the WB, but I'd rather we and DR know sooner than later.

I think the last ep did bring Emily and Lorelai closer and will continue, do we have any spoilers but them and Lorelai? Since the OP Richard has been out of it, I would like his views on the break up and Luke?

MA posted that there was no news yet about ASP on April 14th, then on April 20th he put up a report saying that the Ps weren't coming back. And by the 24th he had the imfamous interview...

Just going on the usual time we find out about contracts, I don't think we'll be hearing any final word until after the finale is shot. Hopefully they'll let us know before May 7th so we can be sure by the time we watch the finale.
