a point was touched on earlier, and I dont remember seeing it taken further....but April was, basically, the reason for L/L splitting. This season so far, events related to her have helped inch L/L closer together. Do we think that ultimately she'll reunite them? (either intentionally or unintentionally as has been happening so far)
Is she the so called 'wormhole'? If not, then who/what is? the hay maze? the diner? something totally cool that we've never seen before?

As far as the whole S8 thing...as much as I want to see a middle....when I look at it from an 'artistic' perspective...I cant really see it being all that appealing/exciting to an actor. Especially if they were to think that whole L/C thing was 'good drama' :::shudder:: BLECH!
But if enough money is thrown their way, who knows.

I don't want April (or Rory) to try and bring them together but if Lorelai talks to someone like Sookie and she prompts Lorelai to talk to Luke, that's good. Maybe even telling her that he's a forgiving guy and why do you think he asked YOU for help with April or turned up for Richard.

If someone points out to her that he has forgiven her then that's a good thing IMO as long as we don't have someone locking them in the store room or something to talk

I think April might be an unintentional instigating factor leading to the 7.18 discussion. That's it.

I'm with not. I like the return of the blue hat for its aesthetics. I'd rather not know about its journey.

I've been thinking about things I'd like to see for the graduation episode. I'd really like a return of "we had a plan." I know graduating from Yale is Rory's accomplishment and certainly the show shouldn't diminish that, but I'd like to see acknowledged that it's a real victory for Lorelai too. I think I'd like to see Lorelai have discussions on this topic with both Luke and Emily. With Luke because he's really shared her ups-and-downs with Rory more than anyone else. With Emily because Lorelai's sacrifices and how she (and the Gilmores and Chris) has defined herself by her teen mistake should get recognition separate from the pain it caused E/R. (I know Lorelai recognizing E/R's pain is required too, I'm just saying.)

(Ciao, totally late and tree-related, but I interpreted that answering machine sequence at the end of ESH as a good thing. I thought it meant no Chris, for sure. Lorelai realized she was near a line in her behavior and decided to back away. Guess that'll teach me.)

I'm not in LA anymore, but I'm still in the state of California - listening to my 2 year old nephew scream his head off at the moment. Heard about the sleet though and am glad I'm still here. Would rather deal with the screaming child and warm weather than the sleet!

To ppl more in the know, I have a couple of questions:

1. Have they filmed 7.20 yet?
2. Do they film during the hiatus?

If the answer to 1 is yes, then there is only 2 episodes left & if the nogo for S8 is true, then no matter what hat trick they try for L/L, fans will have been royally screwed. Half of S6 & 15 eppys of S7 somehow seems to have been a bad dream.

They could try a new series called "Destruction of an Icon". A sort of series within a series. haha.

For me, no ending happy or otherwise if this is the series finale year can live up to what this show once was.

Ron, if I've followed this week's posts correctly, they are currently filming 7.20.

Ron yes they film during the hiatus, it takes about 10 working days per ep and I think someone said 19 ended in the last week so they should be on 20 by now. So they will likely be done before the next new ep airs April 10.

Question - will we see the new SUV in 19 or 20, we know Lorelai goes car shopping in 19 but will we see the new car that ep? I'm think maybe the last scene.

Not sure if this is in the right place, as I am fairly new to this board. Please feel free to move it if it is.

We went on the Deluxe tour today. The Doll House is back, and completely redone in the CS, to the right of the TV, which is still there. Babbettes house was a mess. We saw the girl that is April. Today is Lauren's birthday, and she was not on the set. They didn't even have to start reporting until 4pm and staggered until 6 got others. It was for night scenes, and Lorelai was not in any of them. Though, Luke and April, as well as Babbette and I can't remember the last person right now, were ched. to come in. The table at the Gilmore mansion was set of Friday night dinner, with blue flowers in the middle. We saw the jeeps and we saw Rory's car, but no other cars. We did see Luke's or rather Kirk's boat across the street from Sookies house. They are working on the Twikham house. Lots of inside work, but not sure if it was for Gilmore Girls. Ask away if you have any other questions. oops. the "NO CELL PHONE" sign was up.

We had a blast. The tour guide (who was once the real mayor of Burbank) said that Alexis is the hold out, everyone else is signed, but the rumor is she really does not want to act. Sounds weird, but he says they have heard that she feels like she gave up her teenage years working so hard on this and needs a break. Don't know if it is true, but it is what was said.
